About the Role
CoinDesk is seeking an experienced, creative social-first video producer to amplify and promote content generated from CoinDesk TV (and other internal/external multimedia content) on existing and emerging social media platforms (ie. Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Reddit, TikTok etc.) You will also have the opportunity to produce original content geared for social and digital video platforms. You should be excited about crafting compelling and entertaining video content about cryptocurrencies, the changing world of finance, digital assets and the future of Web3, with the flexibility to jump at new opportunities as these sectors evolve. Note: This is a part-time freelance position.
Responsibilities
- Identify key moments and clip videos; write, produce and post CoinDesk video content on social platforms in a customized and timely manner
- Set up various livestreams on CoinDesk’s social media platforms
- Learning, understanding and writing in CoinDesk’s voice across various social media platforms
- Track performance data of video posts on social media platforms and help make data driven decisions
- Ensure that all journalistic and legal standards are followed
- Complete additional responsibilities as assigned
About You
- At least 2 to 4 years of experience working in a news environment and/or social media-related role
- Experience in business or financial journalism or knowledge of the crypto sector is a big plus.
- Exceptional understanding of what works and doesn’t work on various social media platforms
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and juggle multiple responsibilities
- Understanding and proficiency in AP Style
- Proficiency or experience with graphics and animation production software such as Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator
- Understanding of how and why people view and share videos online
- Professional competency with working with Adobe Premiere
- Experience with various professional camera and lighting equipment
- A clear communicator, collaborator and team player
