The Department: Legal

The Legal department at Gemini is making history every day, as we creatively apply the legacy of law to the future of digital assets. The Role: Senior Legal Assistant

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Legal Assistant / Paralegal to support our legal team in managing license applications, company secretarial duties, and day-to-day administrative tasks. The role involves coordinating and overseeing project management initiatives, liaising with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure timely and efficient execution of legal and regulatory processes. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. This position requires proactive problem-solving, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to maintain accuracy and confidentiality at all times.

Responsibilities:

  • Support license applications ensuring that deadlines are met.  
  • Maintain corporate records and support regulatory filings and reports.  
  • Assist with preparation of materials for committees and board of directors.
  • Manage documentation, organize meetings, and coordinate with internal teams to facilitate legal operations.  
  • Act as a point of contact for external vendors, managing contracts, and ensuring service quality and alignment with company objectives.  
  • Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, providing regular updates and resolving queries related to legal processes.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Legal degree/qualification preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 3-6 years of paralegal experience at a law firm or in-house.
  • Fluency in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong interest in disruptive technology, financial services, or security; prior experience working in financial services, fintech, digital assets or high-growth tech companies a plus.
  • Proven ability to proactively and efficiently project manage and build strong working relationships within an international organization and across geographic regions and timezones.
  • Track record of creative problem-solving with limited supervision, excellent written and oral communication skills, and creation of strong and trusted cross-functional relationships.
  • Experience dealing with GDPR (and other privacy regulation) requests and projects.
