Reports to: Global Head of Trading

Mamoru redefines traditional finance through technology, delivering advanced and efficient solutions for today’s fast-evolving markets. Our mission is to provide trusted and accessible access to the global financial markets.

Overview

We are looking for a motivated Crypto Trader to support trading operations across Pan-African markets. The role is crypto-focused (spot, derivatives, DeFi) but ideal for candidates with a foundation in traditional finance especially FX, local currency bonds, or rates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and executing crypto trading strategies across spots, derivatives, and DeFi markets.
  • Conduct macroeconomic, credit, and political risk research to support trading decisions in Pan-African markets.
  • Execute and monitor trades efficiently while managing portfolio risk, including sovereign credit, FX convertibility, and political event risk.
  • Track and optimize portfolio performance under senior trader guidance.
  • Collaborate with senior traders and analysts to refine strategies and share market insights.
  • Contribute to analytics and dashboards for crypto trade monitoring and Pan-African market insights.
  • Stay updated on blockchain trends, DeFi innovations, and regulatory developments affecting African crypto markets.
  • Prepare regular reports on trading performance, market conditions, and strategy adjustments.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of experience in crypto trading (spot, derivatives, DeFi) or traditional finance (FX, bonds, rates).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Pan-African markets and cross-border flows is preferred.
  • Analytical and quantitative mindset; proficiency in Excel or Python for data analysis preferred.
  • Self-starter, disciplined, and eager to learn in a fast-paced crypto trading environment.
