LayerZero The Future is Omnichain. Founded in 2021, LayerZero’s vision is to create a community of cross-chain developers, building dApps that are no longer constrained by individual blockchain capabilities. With LayerZero's simple, generic messaging protocol, builders will develop cross-chain dApps designed to unify the power of individual blockchains. We are funded by the best investors in the world including: a16z, Sequoia, PayPal, Binance Ventures, Coinbase Ventures, Uniswap Labs, Circle Ventures, Delphi Digital, and many more.  ABOUT THE ROLE LayerZero is hiring an Integrations Engineer to join our growing Integrations team. You’ll play a critical hands-on role in helping top partners build on LayerZero by writing and deploying smart contracts to meet partner scope, managing integrations across multiple chains, and building tools to streamline our implementation workflows. You’ll work closely with engineers and partner teams to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable integrations — and you’ll gain exposure to the cutting edge of cross-chain infrastructure along the way.  WHAT YOU’LL DO
Work closely with our largest partners to develop and deploy custom implementations of LayerZero's OFT/OAPP contract standards, ensuring seamless integration with their existing systems Engage with external partners to understand their technical needs and provide expert guidance on integrating LayerZero's protocol, ensuring optimal performance and security Create and maintain robust tools to streamline the smart contract deployment process, enhancing efficiency and reliability for both internal teams and external partners Quickly adapt to and integrate LayerZero's protocol with multiple blockchain platforms, including but not limited to Ethereum, Solana, Sui, Aptos, and Ton Develop comprehensive test scripts and deployment pipelines using Typescript/Javascript, Hardhat, and Foundry, ensuring all smart contract implementations meet LayerZero's high standards of quality and compliance Provide detailed technical support for partners, helping them manage their implementations and troubleshoot any issues, while also communicating complex technical information clearly and effectively
 ABOUT YOU
Strong foundation in smart contract development (Solidity required; Rust/Move a plus) Ideally 3+ years of experience in a full time software engineering role Experience using Hardhat and/or Foundry for testing and deployment Proficiency in scripting languages like JavaScript or TypeScript Strong written and verbal communication skills Comfortable working across multiple chains and quickly ramping up on new technologies Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership — you test thoroughly and catch issues before they become problems Bonus: Previous experience in customer-facing or partner-supporting engineering roles Bonus: Familiarity with common LayerZero patterns (OFT/OAPP standards, wrapped assets, rate limiters, etc.)

LayerZero Labs is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital status, protected veteran status, disability, age, or any other legally protected status.
How do I become an integration developer?
Becoming an integration developer typically involves a combination of education, training, and practical experience
Here are some steps you can take to become an integration developer:
- Obtain a degree in computer science or a related field: A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field can provide you with a solid foundation in programming, software development, and database management.
- Learn programming languages: Integration developers typically use programming languages like Java, Python, or C# to create integrations between different systems. It's essential to have a good understanding of these languages to be successful in this field.
- Gain experience with integration technologies: Familiarize yourself with integration technologies such as REST, SOAP, and messaging protocols like JMS, MQ, or AMQP.
- Develop knowledge of APIs and microservices: APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) and microservices are two critical concepts that integration developers need to understand. APIs allow different applications to communicate with each other, while microservices enable the development of complex applications by breaking them down into smaller, more manageable components.
- Learn about enterprise integration patterns: Enterprise Integration Patterns (EIPs) are a set of design patterns used in enterprise application integration. Understanding EIPs can help you develop more efficient and effective integrations.
- Get practical experience: Look for internship or entry-level job opportunities that provide hands-on experience with integration technologies. Practice building integrations and working with different systems.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies: The integration landscape is constantly evolving, so it's essential to stay current with the latest trends and technologies in the field. Attend industry events, read relevant blogs, and follow thought leaders in the industry to stay informed.
