Web3 Assistant Controller

What you will do:

• Define the CoinList experience. CoinList has developed a successful suite of trading/lending products. You’ll assist with the recordkeeping of these products and account for these on a monthly basis.
• Be an audit expert. You’ll be a trusted advisor and help lead our annual audit along with our Controller. You’ll help guide our auditors through our products while also preparing technical accounting memos.
• Innovate on our financial products. Beyond audit support, you’ll leverage your expertise to help identify other financial processes and how to best implement them towards existing and future products.
• Lead and scale. As a member of our core team, you’ll take it upon yourself to identify opportunities for CoinList, get buy-in internally, and execute. CoinList is an incredibly entrepreneurial environment and we want people who will take advantage of this.

Who you are:

• You’re an audit expert. You’ve been an auditor at an accounting firm, government agency, or other financial institution. You have been an auditor in the banking industry or crypto industry.
• You’re plugged into cryptocurrency markets.You are familiar with cryptocurrency and the ecosystem and recent accounting developments in this industry.
• You’re a proven manager. You have managed a team in the past as you’ll help design processes and systems to ensure the finance team can scale and succeed.
• You’re an operator and execution specialist. You are ready to get your hands dirty. You’ll hit deadlines and deliverables. You’ll execute trades when needed and you’ll step up to put out fires when they (inevitably) pop up.
• You deal well with pressure. CoinList’s has multiple deadlines and you will help assist getting these projects across the finish line. You thrive under high pressure situations like this and enjoy keeping others calm, on task, and on track.

Job Specific:

The assistant controller/accounting manager will help the accounting team and the controller with various tasks associated with month end close and supporting the audit. Task are as follows:

Assistant controller/Accounting manager :

• Audit support
• Work with the controller to lead the audit
• Preparation of proper audit documentation and supporting documentation
• Preparation of technical accounting memos
• General audit support
• Position will develop over time to be the lead for audit
• Month end close preparation
• Preparation of all revenue and digital asset for month end close
• Preparation and development of staking and lending work papers
• Review of all month end intercompany activity
• Create and maintain reconciliation for new processes as they come up

Experience:

• 2-4 years experience working and running audits
• 4 year accounting degree
• CPA preferred
