Web3 Business Development Associate, Americas

Compensation: $27k - $70k estimated

Location: San Francisco, California, United States

Ripple is growing and we’re looking for a high performing individual contributor to help with our overall business development efforts in the Americas. The Business Development Associate will be a key asset and partner to the global Business Development team. You will ensure Business Development has the appropriate operational foundation, processes and execution cadence to operate as a high performing team as well as align and collaborate with cross functional partners across Ripple. You will play a pivotal role in driving coordination and execution across the Business Development team and supporting key strategic projects and new business/partner opportunities across the team. You will get the opportunity to learn the craft of strategic partnerships, how market/customer facing roles operate, and how business development plays a key role in testing new concepts, use cases, products and verticals. The role will enable you to develop into a successful business development manager, and is ideal for a curious, analytical, problem solving individual interested in learning more about how to build and grow a business via partnerships and cross functional collaboration within a high-growth crypto technology startup.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Develop strong collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams
  • Help BD team to create and maintain various reports, trackers and dashboards
  • Organize and lead recurring BD and cross-functional meetings, such as weekly staff, monthly reviews, quarterly planning, etc to ensure shared context, awareness, alignment; keep clear documented action items and drive follow up
  • Own tracking and status of key initiatives and programs
  • Help build and track BD team's quarterly OKRs
  • Conduct partner/prospect research and analysis; support BD team members on partnership opportunities, partner outreach, building pipeline/qualifications, partner evaluation and overall deal process
  • Help build business cases as needed
  • Support key strategic BD and cross-functional projects as needed

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Have a passion for blockchain technology, the crypto landscape, and the innovative potential that crypto presents, especially in fintech and payments space; experience with crypto a strong plus
  • Self starter and can-do attitude with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility
  • 2+ years of experience in investment banking, consulting, or business development at a high-growth startup
  • Prior experience managing reporting and tracking OKRs or similar framework; experience managing and executing project work
  • Ability to build strong relationship with cross-functional teams and external partners
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Serious attention to detail and a commitment to excellence
