The Job
500px, the world’s premier photography community, is looking for a Community Manager who loves building new and engaging communities! They will be responsible for cultivating a sense of community and enthusiasm within 500px for our various business lines, as well as educating and providing feedback on content trends for both artists and buyers.
We are looking for someone who wants to define a sense of community and provide insight, visibility, growth, and opportunities to new, innovative, and diverse multimedia artists. As part of this role, you will participate in the development of the core 500px products and work directly with our community members to scale the identification and acquisition of various artists, buyers, and content types. You will be responsible for staying on top of key trends within new and emerging spaces related to art and media while ensuring the 500px community is accurately represented within various trending topics. You should not be afraid to create some buzz around creative content by strategizing and implementing exciting and innovative growth, engagement, and acquisition techniques.
We want you to live and breathe hot trends within art and media and how this is applicable to a wide range of content for both artists and buyers. You will be responsible for innovating, implementing, and ensuring the scalable acquisition of various artists and buyers as well as do research and trend analysis of popular content trends, engagement strategies, and community growth. The ideal candidate is not afraid to try out something new, pivot and shift course, or step in front of a camera. The Community Manager, should be charismatic and outgoing!
What you'll be doing:
- Interacting with 500px community and NFT artists by educating them and encouraging them to contribute to NFT business, ultimately contributing to and growing the Vault NFT collection
- Identifying, onboarding, and scaling creative photographers and NFT artists who have tremendous potential within NFT space, using key data points to ensure contributors are strategically and evanly acquired from different verticals, ensuring we build a dynamic and diverse artist base and NFT collection
- Creating and implementing creative and engaging strategies to help motivate and grow our NFT community, liaising with PR and marketing on various campaigns and initiatives to help engage the audience base
- Collaborate with other photography or creative communities to help grow awareness for ‘Vault by 500px’
- Open to speaking on panels to help share NFT business with broader communities
- Contribute to the maintenance and development of the NFT product, including UAT testing and feilding user inquiries
- Maintaining and creating new and exciting engagement strategies on the NFT social channels and groups, including but not limited to: creating post schedules on NFT specific channels as well as the cross promotion and brand awareness on core 500px social marketing channels
- Comfortable with hosting webinars in front of a global NFT community
- Working across various teams to help move projects forward
- Drafting, reviewing and coordinating communications that relate to marketing initiatives, policy statements, contract issues, contributor news
- Working on global campaigns that helps to define the NFT Collection
- Working with data to monitor key metrics on the community, ensuring the health, education, and engagement of the community is maintained and scaled
What the ideal candidate will have:
- A passion for photography, advertising, and other forms of digital media
- A minimum 3-5 years working in technology or digital media environments
- Bachelor's degree required in Digital Media, Communications or related field
- Experience working within photography or digital media related fields
- Insider knowledge of current technology and digital media trends
- Experience working with video, illustration, 3D rendering, and digital art is a plus
- Experience or knowledge of NFT space is a plus
- A collaborative spirit, great work ethic, and amazing time management
- A self-starter attitude who can manage multiple projects and creative ideas on tight deadlines
- The ability to analyze key metrics and data points and incorporate them into successful paths forward
- Experience managing online communities and social media
- Experience and interest in emerging social media trends and engagement techniques
- High level of written and verbal communication skills & strong interpersonal skills

Interview Process
- Phone screen: < 30 min conversation with a hiring manager
- Case study: we'll ask you to complete a short assignment, and then share it with us to review
- Team interviews: 2-3 hours on Zoom where you'll e-meet multiple members of our team
