Web3 Community Manager, US Sports

The platform has a card sales volume of over $400M since January 2021 (up from $8M in sales in 2020) and now has exclusive partnerships with over 250 football (soccer) clubs, the MLB & MLBPA, and the NBA & NBPA. Sorare is trusted by a world-class team of investors including Softbank, Benchmark, Accel Partners, athletes such as Serena Williams and Kylian Mbappé, and key tech investors such as Alexis Ohania - all who believe in the future of integrating NFTs with Gameplay.

As a Community Manager, you will become the voice of Sorare to the overall community with a focus on Sorare: NBA & Sorare: MLB. You will be on the frontline interacting directly with our growing community and helping them get the best experience from communicating with the Sorare brand.

You will create a positive online presence and space for Sorare Managers, specifically focused on the MLB & NBA, by building a community for feedback and open conversation. This role will contribute to improving existing community offerings, identifying opportunities or gaps across the product through community feedback, while developing strategies on how to scale and improve our existing US community. This person will work cross-functionally with our product team, player experience specialists, marketing team, and content to provide best-in-class community experience to Sorare Managers.

Responsibilities

  • Support our community members and come up with new, creative ways to engage our audience
  • Research and establish the online & offline communities
  • Manage Discord presence for Sorare: NBA & Sorare: MLB
  • Identify & collaborate with community thought leaders to create immense value for the overall community of Sorare Managers
  • Take user feedback and work cross-functionally with product, marketing, player experience specialists, to better the community/user experience
  • Identify data & KPIs to make strategic decisions about community events and user engagement

Requirements
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English
  • 3+ years of experience in Community management for a high-growth company
  • Proven experience in building a successful online and offline community
  • Outstanding organization skills; ability to juggle multiple projects at once with attention to detail
  • Experience with Discord, Zendesk, or similar social platforms and social listening tools
  • Passionate about sports, gaming, web3, consumer tech, or similar industries
