Web3 CTO for Emerging NFT platform

CTO Responsibilities

Partner with CEO to define, prioritize and realize product roadmap
Design and develop our MVP product which will be a multi-chain, fully integrated NFT platform that streamlines how NFTs are created and purchased
Rapidly iterate and test first version of the Reptura prototype and MVP product by collecting client feedback
Make architecture decisions to ensure a strong, stable, and scalable product
As needed, coordinate with outsourced development agency and other contractors to ensure project deliverables are satisfactory, timely and on budget
Build out Reptura’s tech stack and engineering hiring plan
As additional funding is raised, work with engineering team to increase their expertise and understanding of best development practices
Participate in investment calls and fundraising pitches

CTO Requirements

Practical experience in software architecture and personally building digital products from early-stage through scaling and maturity
Strong product management and communication skills
Experience working in an early-stage tech start-up
A strong product sense and can build engaging tech for customers
Ability to conduct technological analyses and research
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to share/collaborate with the founders, advisors, investors and other Reptura peers
A product visionary and long-term thinker with a customer-centric focus to enable transformative products that solve massive problems for our customers
Applying the latest cryptology techniques to protect digital transaction data against cyberattacks and information hacks
Optimizing and securing blockchain applications by integrating new tools and technologies
Educating sales personnel on blockchain features that allow secure digital payments
Documenting blockchain development processes and complying with best practices in data protection
Keeping up with current blockchain technologies and cryptography methods

CTO Background Requirements

Bachelor's degree in information security, computer science, or related
At least 3 years of experience as a full-stack developer
Advanced proficiency in programming languages, such as C++, Java, and Python
Extensive experience in back-end development, algorithms, and data structures
Knowledge of cryptography and blockchain protocols
Knowledge of best practices in blockchain management and data protection
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
Superb organizational skills and keen attention to detail
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

CTO Preference
Previous startup CTO experience or senior technical experience w/ team management
Web3 Development experience, specifically, blockchain and NFTs
AI/Machine Learning/ Natural Language processing experience

Anticipated Hours
10 - 20 hours, per week
Full-time upon successful capital raises

Comp Structure
Initially Equity [2.5-5%, based on experience]
Competitive Salary and other benefits, as we close rounds of funding

Ideal candidate will likely be working a 9-5 and can assist a few hours a week, and has a desire to transitino to a venture back start up upon successful capital raises.
