Web3 Design Lead

About the Role Are you an experienced design manager who loves solving problems and building teams that truly makes a difference? We are looking for you. We’re looking for a who would bring in the experience, creativity, and proven leadership skills, who thrives in a fast-evolving environments, is comfortable wearing multiple hats on any given day and loves building a high-performing and cross functional design team from scratch.

Roles and Responsibilities Manage three different design squads - DApp Experience, Strategic UI/UX and Business - to develop and deliver innovative and engaging solutions. Identify and execute infrastructure improvements including optimizing processes for efficiency. Partner with other functions within the Polygon team and other to ensure the design expectations and quality standards are met during all stages. Review and ensure a flawless design quality of the outputs provided to the users, community, customers and internal teams. Work with external teams, vendors and partners to ensure timeliness and quality of deliverables are met. Stay up-to-date on the latest happenings in the design and enablement industries, inspire team members to continuously learn and develop their competencies. Define, monitor, and report out on quality, productivity, and impact metrics. Contribute to UX research, office hours, team trainings and pretty much anything that will help the team be successful as needed.

Expectations Overall experience of 6+ years of experience in design which includes 3+ years of leading design squads. Skilled at managing and coaching diverse teams to help them achieve their potential. Interest and awareness of Web3, Metaverse, and Crypto projects. Expertise in design principles, techniques, and visualization. Expertise in at least a couple of the following tools and familiarity with others - Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Blender, Unreal Engine, Sketch, InVision etc Comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. Excellent team management skills: ability to prioritize, allocate resources, schedule, and meet deadlines.
