Description
In this role you will be responsible for overseeing complete feature development from database modeling, api design, to frontend UI using a mix of web2 and web3 technologies. Your first mission is to lead the migration of a Ruby on Rails API over to either JS, GoLang, or Rust. You will need a strong understanding of event driven service design as Holaplex is a collection of services that communicate through a common event bus.
You should be able to take feature requests and break them down into distinct tasks which can be completed by other engineers in parallel. Your technical designs should be open for future updates, consider monitoring, and scaling for increased user growth.

- Act as the primary domain expert to influence technology choices

Qualifications:
- BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience (Required)
- 4-6+ years experience in software design, development, and algorithm related solutions with at least 2 years of experience in a technical leadership position (Required)
- Familiarity with relational databases, writing migrations, and constructing performant queries using ORM libraries such as Active Record and Prisma. (Required)
- 2-4+ years experience building web APIs using Ruby on Rails (Required)
- Experience migrating web services from Ruby on Rails to other web frameworks written in JS, GoLang, or Rust (Encouraged)
- 3+ years creating web front ends using React and Typescript (Encouraged)
- 1-3+ years experience with building APIs using GraphQL (Encouraged)
- An open source contributor on a repository with 100+ stars and 10+ contributors (Bonus)
- Some free time hacking on web3 on any blockchain (Bonus)
