Senior Software Engineer | Real Estate Prop Tech Leader | NYC

An elite alternative investment firm ($30 billion AUM) is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to lead a high-profile effort to build out a real estate tech product for one of the most successful arms of their business. Their Private Credit and Real Estate groups have been extremely successful over the past decade, so this is an opportunity to join a startup effort within an established investment leader.

This role will design and build applications and tools from scratch to serve as core infrastructure for a next-gen real estate tech product. There is no 3rd party product or tool in the market that replicates the functionality they’ve already developed across multiple applications and systems. This role will take validated ideas and functionality from multiple systems and integrate them into one product that’s well architected, easily maintainable, and scalable in the future.

What You’ll Do

• Design and build backend applications and tools powering real estate tech infrastructure
• Develop workflow automation for real estate transactions and accounting
• Build AI‑enabled tooling with blockchain‑based ledger components
• Architect clean, scalable backend systems using Node.js
• Integrate real estate data sources, accounting feeds, and proprietary datasets
• Collaborate with an established, high performing team that’s rapidly growing

Required Experience

• Experience building systems from scratch
• 3+ years of Node.js

Nice To Have (these are not required!):

• Experience Solidity, Rust, or Haskell
• Experience working at a startup
• Crypto or blockchain experience
• Experience with real estate workflows, tools, or transaction data
