Web3 Operations Analyst

The Firm: Multi-billion dollar hedge fund located in Stamford - over 20+ years of success and some of the brightest minds in the investment business.

COVID update: Employees must be vaccinated. Hybrid work week of 4 days in office, 1 day remote; will probably remain this way long term.

Summary of Role:

The Operations team is currently being built out under the Head of Operations and the firm is looking to bring in a sharp, motivated individual to continue their growth.

Qualifications:

-1-5 yrs trading operations experience or entry level with relevant internships

Job Summary

The employee will work within Operations group. The employee will be responsible for daily processes and various project related duties. Operations analysts transact with nearly all departments within the firm and report into the Head of Operations. Constant interaction with counterparties and the fund administrator provide a well-rounded experience. The employee will gain exposure across all asset classes and products including equities, bonds, FX, options, crypto and more.

Job Responsibilities

• Cash, Position and Dividend reconciliation and investigation.
• Corporate action analysis and booking.
• Entire trade life cycle, dealing with post and prior value queries and liaising with portfolio managers.
• Daily P&L Reporting and fund performance estimates.
• Portfolio valuation and NAV sign-off
• Dealing with External Auditors and Prime brokers
• Stock Loan monitoring
• Analysis and agreeing swap financing
• Cash Management
• Margin analysis and reconciliation.
• Compliance and regulatory reporting

Job Requirements

• The successful candidate will be a graduate with broad experience of operations, from a buy side or Prime Brokerage Background with a minimum of 3 years industry experience.
• Must have good knowledge of equities, equity derivatives, futures, FX and bonds.
• Strong Excel skills a must, being able to analyze and manipulate data.
• Broad experience of systems important, where a knowledge of FIS VPM and / or SS&C Recon an advantage.
• A problem solver with a desire to improve and automate processes is key
• Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail a must.
