The Department: Consumer Experience

Consumer Experience organization is responsible for building and operating Gemini web and mobile clients and experiences. Our product team is made up of skilled product managers with experience in tech, banking, fintech, and cryptocurrency. We draw from top players in the financial and technology industries who are ready to stretch themselves and face the unique and exciting challenges of the digital asset world. We are an internal “think tank” that tackles complex, cross-functional projects, iterates on existing products, and acts as the go-to team for Leadership’s technical vision.

The Role: Principal, Product Manager

We're looking for an entrepreneurial, mission-driven, Product Manager to help us define and grow our products. This role will expand and build upon the vision of the product, define feature road-maps, and drive execution with our Engineering & Design teams. The ideal candidate has solid experience building innovative technologies from scratch, is driven by data and the needs to build world-class products, and has a pragmatic approach to getting high impact enhancements to market quickly. Experience in product planning, customer discovery, and implementing product development processes are all vital for this role. You will work with leaders in Engineering, Marketing & Design, and will be reporting directly to the Director of Product.

Specifically, we are looking for two senior PMs to add to the Consumer Experience department – a PM for our CX Growth team and our CX Core Experience team. The Growth team is responsible for helping more people discover Gemini and easily sign-up and start trading and notably is responsible for onboarding, referrals, first-time trading incentives, and international and localization expansion. The Core Experience team is responsible for helping Gemini users continue and deepen their crypto journey on Gemini and notably is responsible for Home page as a part of this charter. Both teams have large engineering teams and dedicated design support.

Responsibilities:

• Creating customer-first experiences that drive engagement, revenue and community
• Work with engineers and designers from ideation, technical design, and development to the testing, production, and/or release of the product
• Leverage competitive research, customer data, and your understanding of our strategy to build world class products.
• Gather and analyze requirements from stakeholders, usability studies, and market analysis to define product specifications, determine feasibility of the design, enhance user satisfaction, and ensure the products success
• Continue to design, develop, and modify product specifications with the goal of maximizing efficiency in a constantly evolving environment
• Test, validate, document, and revise product specifications to serve new purposes or improve the product
• Develop creative solutions to product issues
• Influence and collaborate with stakeholders and leadership teams to craft innovative rich products and product features
• Overall own the quality of the product and have a “roll-up-your-sleeves” mentality to deliver best in class products
• Specifically, define the goals of the product
• Mange your P&L
• Prepare cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to aid in data-driven decisions
• Establish product performance standards and ensure that best-in class products are delivered on time and within budget

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in end-to-end product management at high-growth technology companies (e.g., creating product roadmap(s) from conception to launch).
• Has a successful track record in scaling user growth, managing complex user onboarding and acquisition.
  
• Strong ability to lead cross-functional organization through product delivery.
• Experience developing a multi-year vision, strategy and roadmap.
• Strong commitment to excellence.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills with a talent for precise articulations of customer problems.
