Web3 QA Game Tester

Role Description

Our purpose is to have a title that provides an immersive experience in our world as well as a challenging and complex fighting system for our users and much more. To achieve this goal, we need creative testers that are passionate about gaming (RPG, RTS, MOBA, etc.) and can contribute to our testing scenarios and methods. Enthusiast about the industry and has a background in testing AAA titles, handles his tasks autonomously within the estimated time, flexible and adaptive in covering diverse areas of the game.

About Illuvium

Illuvium Labs is an independent game development studio based in Sydney, Australia. We develop blockchain based games for the Illuvium DAO. We have developed a strong culture of independence with our team, preferring candidates who can articulate their own vision and goals. We operate almost entirely remotely so each team member designs their own hours and work schedule. In the end all that matters is the delivered product. We hire based on people’s abilities to adapt and change quickly, valuing underlying core abilities above specific skill sets.

Responsibilities

• Run and update given test scenarios.

• Test in different environments.

• Work with Confluence/JIRA (participates in the creation of test scenarios, reporting and monitoring defects, update of tests and documents, etc.).

• Identifies defects and reports them accurately with the necessary info and follows the internal QA guidelines.

• Presents his findings to the team highlighting majors issues.

• Tests for defects and also for the gaming/user experience providing relevant feedback.

• Actively participates in project related meetings/discussions, expresses his ideas and asks questions in the appropriate context.

• Keeps the team updated regarding his overall progress, needs and other issues of interest.

Skills & Qualifications

• MUST HAVE 1+ years experience in testing AAA game titles.

• Is able to understand and manage priorities.

• Skilled in isolating complex issues (can clearly determine the cause and steps for the defect).

• Experience working with Atlassian and google suite.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Accurate estimations of the tasks received.

• Able to work in an agile environment and follow the QA processes.

• Proficient with tracking and monitoring the bug’s life Cycle.

Preferred Qualifications

• Passionate about new technologies and AAA games.

• Quick learner, constantly seeks to improve.

• Auto battler type game experience.

• Interested in blockchain technology and has some knowledge in this area.
