Web3 Regulatory Counsel

TheRegulatory Counselwillbe responsible for all regulatory matters relevant to theWirexbusiness, including licensing activities and applications,analysis of relevant lawsand regulations that apply or might apply to theWirexbusiness and operations, and liaising with and managing relationships with relevant regulators.

The role

• Lead and manage the RegulatoryAffairsTeamand function
• Setthe strategy for and lead and project manageefforts toobtain relevant licensesand complete license applications(where needed)
• Serveasmainpoint-of-contact with regulators
• Analyse and synthesize relevantlaws andregulationsagainsttheWirexbusiness model and new products and features
• Engaging withandmanagingregulatorconsultations
• Update senior managementand manage and liaise withotherrelevant stakeholderstokeep them abreast of relevant regulatory changesthat might impact theWirexbusinessand its products and services
• Review and maintainpolicies and proceduresto ensure they remain up to date with current regulatory requirements, industry best practicesand internal processes.
• Lead and manage projects where regulatory changes require the business to make changes to its controls,policiesand processes
• Manage relationships with external counseland other service providers/consultants
• Conduct trainingfor specified personnelon relevantlaws and regulations and its application to theWirexbusiness

Requirements

• Law degree and legal qualificationand/orproven regulatory compliance track record
• Minimum of3years’experiencein legalor complianceacross regulatory, technology, finance, and corporate practice areas
• Experience of regulatory affairs in afinancial services, payments, fintech, or cryptocurrency business
• Experiencein regulatory complianceacross EU/UK, Asia/Pacific, and/or USjurisdictions
• Demonstrated proactive, time-sensitive, results driven approach in carrying out responsibilities
• Ability to workproductivelyand collaborativelywith non-legal stakeholders
• Strongcriticalanalysisabilities
• Demonstrated track record inanalysinglaws andregulationsagainstcomplex business models and products/services
• Experience with electronic moneylaws andregulations(or similar)
• Excellentwritten andverbalcommunicationsin Englishwriting skills
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to research across multiple jurisdictions
• Ability to leadcross-functional andcross-departmental projects
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a teamadoptingateam-orientedapproachrather than hierarchical management >
• Experience with cryptocurrency regulations (preferred)
• Strongproject management capabilities and demonstrated ability to deliver projects on timeand in accordance with project milestones(preferred)
• Adopts a practical and solutions-focused approach to problem solving
