Remote

At Monad Foundation, we are a team of dedicated ecosystem and community builders who are on a mission to usher in a future powered by blockchain technology. We believe that the Monad blockchain--a performant and parallel EVM Layer 1--can bring that future into the present.

The Role

The Ecosystem Engineering team at Monad contributes to research and engineering projects that make it easy to build amazing applications on Monad. We are looking for a strong Solidity engineer who enjoys hacking on projects and is extremely knowledgeable and opinionated about Ethereum infrastructure and standards.

What you will do

  • You’ll build POCs and demos utilizing new infrastructure (e.g. AA, smart wallets, cross-chain messaging) or trends (e.g. AI agents)

  • You’ll stay up to date on the latest EIPs/RIPs and contribute to standards and improvement proposals on Monad

  • You’ll design and implement missing infrastructure that allows developers to take full advantage of Monad’s high performance and low fees

  • You’ll engage with the developer community to identify pain points and solve the problems

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of Solidity, the EVM, and related tooling (Foundry, wagmi/viem, etc) and libraries (Solady etc)

  • Prior experience building significant apps

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a smart contract engineering role

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

  • Hacker mentality

  • Fastidious attention to detail

Why Work with Us

  • Challenging problems. You’ll work on extremely challenging problems with massive impact.

  • Huge opportunity. The Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) standard is ubiquitous, but existing EVM-compatible chains are slow and bandwidth-constrained. Monad’s core innovations offer developers the best of both worlds (portability and performance) and are a game-changer for mass user adoption in crypto.

  • The right team. You’ll be part of an exceptional and highly-motivated team

  • Culture. We’re a lean team working together to achieve very ambitious goals. We are united in our culture of collaboration, low ego, and high-quality output. As an early member of our team, you’ll help continue to shape our culture.

Salary and Benefits

Benefits for full-time employees include medical, dental, and vision insurance (100% coverage for employees); generous paid time off; paid parental leave; and 10 company-observed holidays.
