Axiom is hiring a
Web3 Smart Contract Integrations Engineer

Compensation: $87k - $100k *

Location: New York New York City USA

About Us

Axiom is using zero knowledge proofs to scale smart contract applications in a new way. Our recent V2 release on mainnet allows smart contracts to compute over the entire history of Ethereum in a fully trustless way. This is critical infrastructure to help blockchain applications scale and will empower developers to build novel decentralized applications with the power of ZK.

We are a small but incredibly strong team backed by the best investors in crypto. We’re looking for exceptional people who are excited to work on challenging and impactful problems in a fast-paced environment. We have an office in NYC and have a preference for candidates based there but we are open to remote candidates too.

The Role

We are looking for a Smart Contract Integration Engineer to lead custom integrations of Axiom with our partner protocols. This will involve the ideation, end-to-end design, smart contract implementation, and support of the integration. You will also get the chance to build out the ZK circuits for integrations using our SDK.

Your day-to-day work will involve working with all different types of projects across crypto to identify the most powerful ways to leverage Axiom and support those custom integrations. We are looking for someone who can quickly dive into and make sense of a codebase, has knowledge of secure smart contract design patterns, and has a security mindset.

Who you are

  • You have extensive knowledge of Solidity and the EVM.

  • You have experience with developer tools for smart contract application developers (Hardhat, Foundry).

  • You have extensive knowledge of smart contract security and common pitfalls

  • You have extensive experience with proper deployment and security practices

  • You have experience writing extensive unit and integration tests

  • You have extreme attention to detail, with a security and ownership mindset

  • You have an interest in diving into the codebases of smart contracts of various protocols

  • You’re a clear communicator and value collaboration

  • You have a strong bias towards action

  • You have an extremely strong work ethic

Bonuses

  • You have experience with auditing smart contracts

  • You enjoy understanding the design and mechanics of new smart contract applications

  • You’ve worked on a protocol with significant TVL, especially infrastructure related

  • You’ve earned bug bounties

Why work with us

  • You’ll be working on groundbreaking tech that has the potential to be a key piece of infrastructure for the crypto industry.

  • You’ll receive a competitive salary with equity.

  • Wrote some of the most performant ZK circuits for elliptic curve cryptography and Ethereum data reads (circom-ecdsa, zk-attestor, halo2-ecc).

  • Advised Gauntlet and Scroll and worked at an HFT startup from inception to profitable trading.

Jonathan:

  • Published number theory research in the top journals in math.  UChicago Math PhD, Harvard Math BA.
