Blockdaemon is looking for a QA Engineer to join our rapidly growing engineering team. Reporting to the Senior QA Engineer, the QA Engineermust be able to demonstrate a solid understanding of quality assurance methodologies, experience in software test creation and execution.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with department management and team members to create and execute test plans and environments to ensure continued delivery of high-quality software to our customers and partners
- Responsible for assigned test areas and identifying tests to be automated
- Perform acceptance, functional, negative and regression tests for product features
- Identify software issues and clearly document them in the defect tracking system
- Assist development engineers in diagnosis of product defects identified either internally or by the support team
- Use TestRail for creation, management and tracking of required testing
- Provide brief daily status to the engineering team
- Integrate automation and functional QA tools
- Document automation process and tools
- Create Load and Stress testing plans and run regularly
- Performs other duties as assigned
Skills and Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience creating, maintaining and executing system and API test automation
- Familiarity with industry standard QA tools used to create, track and manage test cases
- Must have experience identifying and reporting issues and using defect tracking tools
- Background in creating and executing functional, regression and integration tests
- Disciplined approach to testing and defect reporting
- Familiar with Quality Assurance methodologies and processes
- Strong understanding of the SDLC
- Must be able to interact effectively with members of the test, development and support groups
- Must possess excellent time management and prioritization skills
- Must be detail-oriented, able to demonstrate history of initiative and have strong interpersonal skills
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Objective C, Swift
- Experience with creating automated and running test scripts
- Experience with Python, Visual Basic
- Experience with VMware/vSphere, Jenkins, Pytest
- Experience testing web applications on multiple browsers
- Direct Experience testing software on mobile devices – Android and iOS
- Experience working in a SCRUM/Agile environment
