Echo Base is a private holding company pursuing special situation control investments in the digital assets space. Our global crypto team possesses deep experience in both the scaling of new ventures and the restructuring of complex assets with asymmetric risk profiles. Through lateral acquisitions, Echo Base seeks to leverage operational and technical synergies across our portfolio companies.
We seek a highly motivated Senior Marketing Manager to join our dynamic team and report to the VP of Growth. This role is critical to driving user and revenue growth, focusing on acquisition, retention, and effective channel management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communications Strategy & Execution:
- Set the tone and direction for all internal and external communications, ensuring consistency and coherence in areas such as PR & email.
- Utilize paid and owned channels effectively, developing initiatives aligned with business objectives and brand guidelines.
- Campaign Management:
- Oversee marketing campaigns' planning, implementation, and performance tracking, ensuring that all efforts are focused on maximizing user growth and revenue.
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts, compiling assets and information from internal teams and external partners.
- Agency & Partner Collaboration:
- Manage agency partners across respective channels, ensuring alignment with overall marketing goals and consistency in messaging.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide strategic input to enhance agency-driven performance.
- Brand Alignment & Cross-Channel Synergy:
- Collaborate closely with the Brand and Content teams to ensure all marketing activities align with brand messaging and cross-channel strategy
- Foster integration between paid campaigns and organic efforts across social media, SEO, email, and community platforms (e.g., Telegram, Discord).
- Support & Stakeholder Coordination:
- Work alongside the VP of Growth to maintain day-to-day marketing progress, troubleshoot challenges, and ensure effective communication between all channel owners.
- Act as a key point of contact for the marketing team, creative resources, and external stakeholders to drive consistent campaign execution.
Experience Required:
Marketing Expertise:
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in marketing, preferably in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment with exposure to multiple marketing channels.
- Work experience in crypto/Web3 is strongly preferred, though not required.
Advertising Expertise:
- Proven expertise in leveraging paid tools such as Meta Business Manager, Google Ads, TikTok Business Manager, and other performance marketing platforms.
Analytical Skills:
- Strong analytical mindset, capable of interpreting data and translating insights into actionable marketing strategies, aka data-driven decision-making.
- Advanced knowledge of tools like Excel and Google Analytics; familiarity with platforms like Superset or MySQL is a plus.
Creative Understanding:
- Ability to balance data-driven decision-making with appreciating what works creatively to engage audiences.
- Experience working closely with creative teams to develop marketing concepts that drive conversions.
Collaboration:
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external agencies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to convey complex ideas effectively.
Cross-Channel Proficiency:
- Experience guiding messaging for Social Media, PR, SEO, and Email teams to achieve cohesive campaigns and brand excellence.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with global marketing
- Background in driving growth for mobile apps on iOS and Android
- Bonus to have experience with apps that are also available on the Web
Skills & Competencies:
- Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in paid advertising tools (Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, etc.).
- Advanced Excel skills for campaign analysis and budget tracking.
- Familiarity with A/B testing and other conversion rate optimization techniques.
- Analytical Thinking:
- Ability to set up and analyze marketing experiments, interpret data trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Competency in building dashboards and visualizing key metrics for leadership teams.
- Project Management:
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in agile marketing processes and collaboration with teams using tools like Asana, Trello, or JIRA.
- Creativity & Branding:
- Understanding brand management and the nuances of building a cohesive message across paid and organic channels.
- Comfortable with rapid iteration of creative content in response to performance data.
