About the position

As a Test Automation Engineer, you will work as a part of one or several teams where you will be responsible for design, test, and deploy effective test automation solutions. You will be building and maintaining our test automation framework and broadly work with tests performing automation, performance, and QA related activities. Together with QA Lead / QA engineers you will oversee the testing needs and create understanding of the product and area to be able to take responsibility for the automation testing.

Since we work with complex security solutions you need to enjoy problem solving, programming collaboration while improving the way we work ensuring top quality with each release together with your team. You will play a crucial part where you will analyse and develop the proof of concept in test automation, this means that you are skilled in communicating the business benefits of test automation. You are also able to suggest technical solutions for our environment and infrastructure and involve and teach the engineers in the automation process. This role involves being part of the cross-site international Keyfactor QA Community of Practice team and contributing to improving our company-wide ways of working assure a high-quality product delivery.

The position is based in Stockholm office so applicants must be based in Sweden and must possess a valid Right to Work in Sweden.

Responsibilities

• Planning, creating and execution of automated test scripts
• Build and continuously improve and maintain ourautomation framework, be curious and always look for new ideas and technology that can improve our setup
• Monitor and measure test coverage to improve test scenarios
• Maximize test coverage for the most critical features of the system
• Contributing to the development of test plans, test cases, and other test artifacts
• Design tests to mitigate risk
• Estimate test effort for user stories and sprints
• Identify business requirements and work closely with the QA Leads/QA Engineers, product owner, engineers, and stakeholders to find solutions, providing feedback and ensuring the product have sufficient quality
• Write acceptance criteria for requirements
• Review results of automated tests and log defects
• Performing manual and automated testing in different types of environments and log results
• Working on continuous integration and continuous deployment from a testing perspective
• Debugging issues and reporting them to the development team
• Coordinating with team members to ensure smooth delivery of quality work
• Ensuring that software testing is conducted in accordance with the QA strategy and procedures
• Stress-, performance and security testing
• Provide feedback to the organization and teams in the form of test metrics and reports
• Write documentation for automated processes including test plans, test procedures, and test reports

Skills and Qualifications

• Strong experience in Test Automation, preferably building automation frameworks from scratch
• Background in automating front-end, back-end and web services
• Hands-on with test automation in Java, require strong coding skills to create tests
• Good knowledge of automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Cucumber
• Experience of API testing using Postman collections, Jmeter
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools as Jenkins, GitHub
• Experience with container solutions (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Experience testing for multiple and cross-platforms
• Strong ability to troubleshooting and debug
• Non-functional aspects of web testing, such as UI, Accessibility, Security and Performance
• Strong problem-solving attitude and sense of ownership
• Good analytical skills, identify dependencies and risk assessments
• Strong positive “Can-do-attitude”, fearless, proactive and take own initiative
• Structured, organized, and great communicator
• Enthusiastic team player
• Experience using agile methodology values, principles, and practices to plan, manage, and deliver solutions
• Good knowledge of Jira, Confluence
• Understanding of testing APIs at both client/sdk level and how they interact with backend services
• Fluent in English
• Successfully completed a university degree or comparable education/experience in either Computer Science or relevant scientific subject

It would be an advantage if you also have:

• ISTQB Foundation, Agile, Advanced Test Automation certification
• Experience of performance, stress- and security testing
