About the Role

As our Financial Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of Kriptomat, with a strong emphasis on the accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of financial data and reporting. Your work will ensure that management decisions are grounded in precise financial insights, and that we meet both internal and regulatory expectations with confidence.

You will prepare and present timely and accurate financial statements—including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports—while driving the automation and streamlining of reporting processes to enhance efficiency and reduce the risk of errors. Data accuracy will be at the heart of your responsibilities, serving as the foundation for everything from financial forecasting to performance analysis.

You will serve as the primary intermediary between the Accounting Department, Management, and the Back-End team, ensuring clear communication, alignment on priorities, and consistency in financial data across systems and reports.

Key responsibilities include monitoring budget performance, conducting detailed financial analyses to identify trends and cost-saving opportunities, and developing financial forecasts and models that inform strategic planning. You’ll manage cash flow, optimize liquidity, and oversee compliance with tax regulations and financial policies.

You will also take a proactive approach to identifying financial risks and implementing strategies to mitigate them, supporting Kriptomat’s continued growth in a secure and well-managed environment.

This role requires a meticulous, hands-on professional with a strong command of financial reporting standards, a passion for precision, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights. You will report directly to management and collaborate across departments—including legal, operations, compliance, and product—to ensure financial excellence at every level.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage revenue and expense reporting by consolidating back-end data, third-party transaction analyses, and treasury management.

• Monitor and control expenses processed through crypto assets accounting and reporting solution, reconciling them against sample reports from liquidity providers (exchanges, wallets, etc.) to ensure accuracy.

• Monitor and manage the organisation’s cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity for operations

• Serve as the central authority on data quality control, ensuring accuracy and reliability for bookkeeping and audit-ready financial reports.

• Collaborate closely with the back-end team to enhance data quality and having additional control over financial data from back-end team/department.

• Analyze cryptocurrency transactions regularly (at least weekly) to identify connectivity issues (APIs), pricing of assets discrepancies, and performance issues.

• Monitor the performance of CryptoWorth’s modules—transaction analysis, treasury/inventory management, and reporting optimisations.

• Preparing monthly expense and revenue reports for the Accounting Department, ensuring timely delivery and accuracy.

• Implementation of financial controlling measures (via BI or Excel initially).

• Develop a standardized monthly management reports that highlight key financial metrics and variances (month-over month  comparisons, trend analysis,…),.

• Collaborate with the BI team to implement standardised reports and structure data pipelines, enabling timely ad-hoc reporting and decision support for management.

• Generate ad-hoc financial analyses and supplemental reports to address management and shareholders' requests.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong background in financial reporting, data accuracy, and financial analysis

• Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning

• Deep understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial compliance standards

• Ability to analyse complex financial data and create actionable reports for management

• Experience working with cross-functional teams, including accounting, back-end/tech, and senior leadership

• killed in financial systems, reporting tools, and data automation solutions

• Degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field; professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, or CFA are a strong plus

• 3+ years of experience in financial control, accounting, or financial planning roles

• High attention to detail and commitment to data integrity

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and tech-driven environment

• Affinity for innovation and a genuine interest in the crypto and fintech industries

• Familiarity with the regulatory and financial landscape of digital assets is a significant advantage
