Pixelynx is a new music and gaming venture that has been launched by deadmau5 and Richie Hawtin. We are building a music metaverse that makes it easy for any artist, label or events to launch their own interactive experiences and monetise them through Digital Collectables (NFTs)
Pixelynx is looking for an experienced Creative Director with a proven track record of creating innovative and engaging visual campaigns, directing teams of creatives to produce assets and conceptualise the creative direction of our projects. You will ideally have a good understanding of the music industry and be able to direct the creative vision into a visually stunning and cohesive brand. With innovative ideas and experience working on iconic brands, you will be confident in bringing the creative edge to new and revolutionary products.
The Creative Director will be responsible for managing, directing and supervising members of the creative team and their output.
This role is fully remote and open to contracting / freelance opportunities only.
Job Responsibilities

  • Own, expand and develop the creative direction for Pixelynx products, collaborating cross discipline and ensure the delivery from a creative perspective
  • Overseeing staff operations and project teams to help them deliver their best work
  • Pitch ideas confidently and present creative vision to clients, stakeholders and communicate in the same manner to members of the creative team
  • Business planning and budget development, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Lead multiple projects from conception to completion in accordance with deadlines
  • Ensure that all of the creative output and visuals are consistent with the overall brand
  • Planning, directing and setting the strategic direction of the creative team
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure timely delivery of services
  • Creating clear and concise briefs for craft specialists to deliver accurate results in line with the creative vision
  • Communicate and champion creative thinking and technical execution
  • Working with music artists, labels and management to understand their brand and how to work with their brand creatively

Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in creative direction, preferably with experience in the music industry
  • A strong working knowledge of project management, design and brand development and marketing
  • A background within or a strong understanding of the music industry, working with music artists and labels
  • The ability to translate ideas into actionable projects
  • Familiarity with a variety of branding and marketing strategies
  • The ability to nurture and adapt an existing brand to suit changing circumstances within the company and the industry
  • Experience working on some iconic brands, especially those with a Gen Z focus
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to bridge the gap between the business, technical and creative sides of the company
  • Experience utilising new technologies to aid the creative process is preferred, including AI and interactive design
  • Confidence multitasking and managing a number of different projects at once
  • Experience developing and sticking to appropriate budgets for projects
  • Working experience or a keen interest in Web3 projects, particularly within a startup environment
