Web3 Backend Developer (Rust)

We at flowciety are building a new kind of workflow engine to streamline collaboration between business partners and suppliers. Our innovative, distributed platform automates cross-company workflows, accelerates the exchange of information and provides documentation of every action. Our product is going to be deployed at several businesses which participate in common processes (e.g. a supply chain): Participants define their workflows and can execute them whenever necessary. Our distributed, blockchain-based infrastructure automates the exchange of sensitive data, without having to rely on a central governing entity. Connecting existing infrastructure, such as ERP systems, keeps the upfront cost low and maintains the internal independence of each participating company. The software stack consists of a micro-service oriented backend written in Rust, combined with a frontend using Vue.js/TypeScript. Tasks Your mission at flowciety will be improving our product backend, ranging from core functionality such as workflow management, to integrating third party systems like authentication providers or messaging services. You will

improve and maintain existing backend services, plan and implement new services and wire them up within our product, improve the performance, robustness and deployment process, and work within our multidisciplinary development team.

Your work will directly contribute to the value, quality and reliability of our product.We expect you to share our value for clean, lightweight and powerful software, no matter the language or use case. We expect you to be on-side in our Berlin office at least part time, especially during the onboarding process.Remote work is possible multiple days per week, and extended during Covid. Requirements Must have:

3 years professional experience in software development in teams. Solid understanding of the Rust programming language. Demonstrate familiarity with modern software design and quality assurance. Independent problem-solving skills, while keeping an eye on the big picture. Excellent proficiency in English.

Should have:

Experience working in and designing multi-service software solutions ("IT architecture"). Willingness to dive into new topics and devise efficient and elegant solutions. General knowledge of blockchain technologies and distributed architectures. Effective proficiency in German.
