About the team and role 

GnosisDAO builds decentralized infrastructure for the Ethereum ecosystem. Gnosis developed a wide range of products, including Gnosis Safe (multisig and programmable account), Gnosis Protocol (CowSwap), Conditional Tokens (prediction markets), Gnosis Auction, and Zodiac (standard and tooling for composable DAOs), Circles UBI (blockchain-based unconditional basic income) and Gnosis Chain. Gnosis Chain is the product of the merger of Gnosis and xDai. As one of Ethereum’s earliest side chains with the largest validator aside from Ethereum itself, Gnosis Chain has quiet but significant real-world usage and has embarked on an aggressive technical roadmap to accelerate Ethereum. Gnosis Chain is also where Ethereum’s colorful and quirky spirit lives on, as the original home that incubated many defining projects like POAP, Burner Wallet, Dark Forest, and Perpetual Protocol. 

We’re looking for a Blockchain Analyst to build and maintain dashboards of network usage and network characteristics. Think: How many nodes operate the network, where are they located, which clients do they use, do they use cloud providers? What does that tell us about the resilience of the network? How many daily/ weekly active users are there on Gnosis? What are the trends in network usage by different dapps? Where do users/ dapps bridge to and from? What proportion of users is on smart contract wallets as opposed to EOAs? 

What you will do

• Gather and analyze data from Gnosis Chain, its Beacon Chain and other blockchain networks. This includes transaction data, smart contract interactions, user behavior, and network performance.

• Developing Metrics and Indicators: Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to blockchain operations. Develop metrics that can help in assessing the performance, security, and scalability of blockchain networks.

• Dashboard Creation and Management: Build and maintain dashboards for visualizing blockchain data. Ensure that these dashboards provide real-time insights and are user-friendly for stakeholders.

• Reporting and Insight Generation: Translate complex blockchain data into understandable reports. Provide actionable insights to decision-makers to improve blockchain strategy and operations.

• Build social graphs and analyze transaction data for Circles UBI, making use of various visualization techniques

• Market Analysis: Keep abreast of market trends in the blockchain and cryptocurrency industry. Analyze competitor data and market movements to inform strategic decisions.

• Collaboration with Technical Teams: Work closely with our core infrastructure and product teams to understand the technical aspects relevant for informing their architecture and product decisions.

• Problem-solving: Troubleshoot data-related problems and provide solutions to enhance data collection and analysis processes.

• You should possess comprehensive knowledge of Layer 1 blockchain technologies, understanding their architecture, consensus mechanisms, and security aspects.

• You have proven experience in data analysis and visualization: Grafana/PromQL and Dune Analytics.

• You have excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• You possess strong communication skills for conveying data insights to non-technical stakeholders.

• You have general experience with SQL and with ETL tools/platforms.

• You have basic smart contract understanding.

• You are fluent in spoken and written English.
