Blockchain Data Analyst

We’re looking for an entrepreneurial data analyst to work closely with our product and engineering team. You’ll help us build a high-quality web3 product analytics platform, responsible for developing and implementing many of Lidar’s client-facing metrics and ultimately turning blockchain data into insights for customers across categories (DeFi, NFTs, etc.). You’ll work directly with end customers to translate their requests into a product roadmap, as well as propose net-new data sources and analytics systems to further enhance our offerings.

What Kind of Challenges Will this person be working on?

• Develop a deep knowledge and understanding of our users, current industry trends, and translate those into specific queries, metrics, and dashboards that help drive decisions
• Translate complex findings and insights into simple, easy-to-action summaries for operational and executive teams at our customers
• Act as the point of contact for ongoing data and analytics requests from our customers, translating vague and broad requests into specific requirements and working closely with product and engineering teams to build a product that meets those requirements

What does this candidate bring to the table?

• Practical experience with web3 data analytics and multiple sources of information including data warehouses (eg. Dune, Flipside, Zettablock, Transpose) and APIs (eg. Alchemy).
• 2-3 years of experience with SQL (various dialects) and with Python as well as its broader data ecosystem (eg. pandas)
• Strong communication and customer service skills to directly liaise with customers and internal stakeholders across product, engineering, and business development
• An entrepreneurial mindset: you aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves, thrive in controlled chaos, and get things done
• Able to focus on local solutions and details while being thoughtful and intentional around how they fit into the long term strategic product roadmap.
