We currently have a rare opportunity for an individual with a high degree of personal initiative interested in blockchain technology and crypto assets. The starting date is as soon as possible, the position is based in Frankfurt, Germany and the successful candidate will be required to travel to Zurich from time to time.

About the role

We are looking for a Business Development Manager for the Crypto Finance Business Development Sales Team, based in Zurich, in charge of building new institutional and professional client relationships in Germany.

As part of the Business Development Team of Crypto Finance AG, you will report to the Head of Business Development and you will collaborate with the Product & Partnership Managers, Account Managers, and (Sales) Trading in initiating new client relationships. You will gain experience and gain deep insights into the cryptocurrency ecosystem.

Business Development Sales is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, the coverage and growth of institutional and professional clients by conducting competitive market analyses, and enhancing the brand recognition. Furthermore, Business Development Sales takes full responsibility for collaborating with prospects to understand and meet their needs in establishing and growing digital asset products and investment opportunities. The Business Development Manger monitors developments in the market, and anticipates prospects’ needs to provide feedback to Account Managers and Product & Partnership Management.

Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility to source and foster new institutional and professional client relationships
  • Become an expert in the German market by attending conferences, understanding the regulatory developments, and building a strong institutional and professional prospect network
  • Build partnerships and develop business opportunities with third parties, e.g. trading platforms and core banking systems
  • Oversee multiple prospects and prioritise efforts to anticipate and ensure appropriate responses to their needs
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal departments of the organisation, include. Compliance, Business Development, Account Management, Product Management, Trading, and Legal
  • Maintain an expert level of understanding of the trading and infrastructure platforms, as well as other products, so as to provide knowledgeable support to prospects and potential partners both externally and internally
  • Maintain an expert level of understanding of the crypto market landscape
  • Produce regular reports to management
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and restrictions
  • Update and maintain the CRM for accurate recordkeeping of all relationships
  • Relevant university degree, e.g. as Business Administration, Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Sales, Relationship Management or similar function at a financial institution
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills and a team player
  • A passion for digitalisation, and a profound interest in the digital asset market
  • Highly proactive and outgoing personality
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy in combination with a hands-on mentality
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, and organisational skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple ad hoc projects simultaneously
  • Solid MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), and fast adaption of new tools required
  • Proficient level of written and spoken English and German; knowledge of another language is a plus
  • Eligible to work in Switzerland and Germany
