Edge & Node is hiring a
Web3 Content Designer

Compensation: $72k - $81k estimated

Location: CA San Francisco US

What We're Looking For

Edge & Node (E&N), the team behind The Graph, is looking for a passionate content designer.

The Graph is the backbone of web3, a decentralized protocol that serves billions of requests from production apps every month. Since the token sale and the launch of the decentralized network, the protocol has grown exponentially.

Our team is a remote team located in many time zones. We have high standards, striving for excellence by being curious, agile, and pragmatic. Since day one, we have prioritized design, and it's part of our company's DNA.

We need a content designer to create images and videos that reflect Edge & Node's and The Graph's design ethos in every pixel. The ideal candidate will be a strong design systems thinker who can utilize images and videos to amplify, educate and enlighten our community via social media platforms. You should work independently from a brief, prioritize tasks, track essential details and deliverables across multiple projects.

Responsibilities:

As the content designer, you will work cross-functionally with the design and marketing team to deliver quarterly and annual roadmap objectives within The Graph and Edge & Node. You will produce static and animated assets daily for our omnichannel marketing strategy, including Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.

  • Develop work that inspires others and carries the vision for brand expression through motion design and graphics
  • Deliver strategic and conceptual systems that communicate brand intention and value
  • Create motion systems and design solutions with a high level of creativity, brand alignment, and attention to detail
  • Develop original breakthrough design thinking for omnichannel marketing applications
  • Create and manage backlog and delivery timeline for all marketing design needs
  • Use visual assets and videos to help break down complex narratives into simple, compelling stories.
  • Collaborate with the design team, product managers, marketing leadership, stakeholders, and press agencies to serve a global audience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, building the rocket ship as we fly it
  • Comfortable working and designing within ambiguity

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in motion design, with experience in brand or product systems
  • Motion graphics experience in a deadline-driven environment
  • Experience with narrative storytelling in combination with core marketing objectives across multiple platforms
  • Experience in After Effects, Cinema 4D, or some other tool for editing videos
  • Knowledge of current industry-standard audio/video formats and codecs
  • Experience with digital content management systems and digital workflows with an understanding of how to organize and manage content
  • Experience with audio/video production and post-production utilizing current technologies
  • Interest in Blockchain & web3

About The Team

Edge & Node is a globally distributed team. We work hard, but our remote-first team affords a high degree of autonomy and flexibility. Our few scheduled meetings tend to be in the morning, pacific standard time (PST). .We're mission-oriented and hold one another accountable with results rather than vanity metrics like time spent at your desk. We trust you to use your time effectively if you need to book a vacation, make a doctor's appointment, go for a run, or even get some fresh air.

You can expect quarterly off-sites in different parts of the world, where we strategize as a team, brainstorm around a whiteboard, go on team outings, have spirited and varied conversations over wine, coffee, or kombucha, and get to know each other on a personal level. In addition to off-sites, you'll have the option to travel to conferences and meetups worldwide, where you'll get to know individual teammates on a more personal level and build relationships with our users and community.
