BitSight is looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our Business Intelligence Engineering team. BitSight’s Business Intelligence and Analytics team is responsible for building a Data Warehouse and KPIs in order to provide insights to different departments of the organization. Built on the highly scalable AWS ecosystem, our pipeline code base meets the highest standards of reliability and scalability to deliver consistent, actionable, intuitive, and responsive ratings to the customer.

The Excellence You Deliver:
- Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines for optimal extraction, loading, and transformation of data from various sources using a modern data stack
- Collaborates with analytics and business teams to improve data models that feed business intelligence tools, increasing data accessibility and fostering data-driven decision-making across the organization
- Working with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Sales, and Engineering teams to support their data infrastructure needs while assisting with data-related technical issues
- Implement processes and systems to monitor data quality, ensuring production data is always accurate and available for key stakeholders and business processes that depend on it.
- Analyze data sets using statistical techniques and effectively communicate trends and patterns that enhance the opportunities for the business
- Perform data analysis required to troubleshoot data-related issues and assist in the resolution of data issues
About You:
We are looking for developers/engineers passionate about building data applications to collect, aggregate, and analyze data at scale using continuous incremental development methodologies. Someone with an entrepreneurial spirit, customer focus, drive, determination, and the strength of character to challenge the status quo. We are looking for someone who is flexible and willing to embrace change. Above all, we’re looking for a great team player.
What You Should Have:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent related work experience. MBA or other Master's degree is a plus
- 3+ years of experience in data warehousing, data modeling, building data pipelines, and data visualizations
- Advanced SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases
- Experience in Snowflake, Redshift, or comparable MPP data warehouse solutions
- Experience in programming languages like python, java, etc
- Experience building reports and dashboards using tools like Tableau, Looker, Power BI, etc
- Experience with code management tools, such as Bitbucket, GitHub, etc
- Experience with or knowledge of Agile Software Development methodologies
- Familiarity with Fivetran or comparable ELT tools such as Stitch, Matillion, Rivery, etc.
- Familiarity with DBT
- Familiarity with Data Orchestration tools such as Airflow
