Web3 Finance Analyst

The finance team provides critical information to the company's leadership for effective management, whilst helping other departments assess their performance against objectives. Each vertical within the finance team plays an important role in helping the wider business, whether it be through transaction/invoice processing and supplier/client payments in our AR and AP functions, consolidation and management accounting in our Reporting function, cash and liquidity management in our Treasury function or vendor selection and onboarding in our Procurement function. The collective efforts of the finance team help deliver critical information to leadership and help their colleagues and company achieve their goals.

The Finance Analyst will support the Reporting Manager with the statutory and management reporting for both internal and external (regulatory) requirements of each of our group entities (UK, Switzerland, Singapore, US, UAE). You will work closely alongside the other Finance teams, including AP, AR, FP&A, Tax and Treasury finance to ensure continuous process improvement and improve on Coppers financial control environment.

Key Responsibilities of the role

• Provide input to transactional accounting activities across all areas of the P&L and Balance Sheet
• Ensuring the Group is adhering to financial standards relevant in each of its operating locations
• Be a key player in month-end close process, owning areas including accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, intercompany etc. (full P&L and BS)
  • Ensuring all balance sheet accounts allocated are fully reconciled monthly
  • Contributing to monthly P&L analysis and KPI information, for the inclusion in FP&A’s month-end results presentation to Exco

• Own the finance team review process for monthly payroll in each of the Groups operating entities
  • Perform payroll completeness and accuracy checks over HRs calculations for monthly pay cycles for each of our entities.
  • Identify discrepancies / errors in the information and communicate with HR to ensure they are resolved within deadlines set
  • Liaise with Treasury to authorise funding for each of our payroll providers.
  • Ensure relevant accounting entries and balance sheet reconciliations maintained for all payroll costs
• Responding to internal and external queries
• Helping to improve the internal processes within the business
• Provide input to group wide VAT and other tax returns on a quarterly basis

Your experience, skills and knowledge

• A part-qualified certified accountant (ACA, ACCA or other overseas equivalent)
• Strong excel capabilities with the ability to analyse data and raise findings
• An excellent team player, but also can work autonomously and proactively
• Experienced in working closely with accounts payable/receivable teams
• Comfortable working with large amounts of detailed information and presenting back impactful analysis, leveraging business systems as appropriate
• Proactive problem-solving mentality, hungry to work in a fast paced, ever-changing environment

Desirable

• Knowledge of various payroll components and associated accounting treatment (primarily for UK)
• Professional of using NetSuite will be advantageous
• Experience performing balance sheet reconciliations
• Tech start-up environment experience
• General knowledge of blockchain infrastructure and digital assets
• Previous experience working in a finance function
