Smart Money is a reference to a future where all financial services are run on smart contracts.

Blockchains like Ethereum represent a technology platform shift that unlocks new financial primitives as users can pool together capital and receive financial services mediated only by software.

As a studio, we built the first legally compliant on-chain hedge fund called the Yield Farming Fund, which unlike a traditional fund, has no bank account and all deposits and investments are run through an Ethereum address. Every investment is transparent and verifiable on-chain for all our investors to see.

While we expect to continue to grow our assets under management, we plan to use this as a proof of concept for a new open asset management protocol that would allow anyone to start their own hedge fund or invest in a hedge fund with just an Ethereum address.

As a studio, we are raising a larger fund to dedicate more resources to projects in addition to making seed investments in other protocols.

Job Description

Smart Money is looking for an engineer who has experience with the frontend, backend, and blockchain. Our ideal candidate loves to learn new things and enjoys brainstorming and being intimately involved in creating new products from scratch. As a DeFi venture studio, we primarily build financial services on Ethereum, but we always keep our options open and consider all technology that can get us from zero to MVP. Any blockchain experience is a plus. DeFi knowledge is a big plus.
