About the role

As a Quality & Testing Engineer you would be working towards ensuring we deliver a quality product to our customers.

The correctness of the data we provide to our customers is very important to us and the Nansen community, and your contributions to the team will therefore have a big impact.

You can be located anywhere in the world, as our work is 100% online.

The position is full-time.

What will you be doing?

Your duties will include

  • Manual testing of our frontend, performing QA on new releases in the development environment and then in the production environment, working in tandem with our developers
  • Designing, creating, running and maintaining scripts for automated testing of the frontend of our platform (using Selenium etc etc)
  • Creating reports to display the results of the automated tests
  • Performing audits on data extracts (CSV/Excel) to ensure alignment in the data contained in different releases
  • ‍Being part of the overall conversation about quality, requirements, testing and design, communicating continuously with our product owner, developers and designers.

Are you the right person for this role?

The ideal candidate for us has:

  • 3+ years work experience as a data quality engineer, software quality engineer or similar role
  • 2-3 years of experience with Selenium (Cypress as a plus)
  • 2-3 years of experience in API testing, using Postman or similar tools
  • a methodical approach to work and the ability to perform tasks consistently and precisely
  • an eye for details, but is pragmatic and able to get things done fast
  • excellent communication skills when it comes to writing bug reports
  • an ability to self-organize in a remote-first work environment
  • the flexibility to cater for variable daily workloads
  • an existing interest in blockchain technology and related cryptoassets
