Kraken’s OTC desk is a market leader in one of the most innovative and fast-growing industries in the world. Renowned for our white-glove service, we provide market-making to clients globally, 24/7. Offering deep liquidity for tighter spreads, we deliver a private and personalized service for institutional clients and high-net-worth individuals executing large orders. Our OTC desk ensures discreet, secure, and ultra-competitive execution and settlement services.

We’ve established ourselves as a dominant OTC desk for spot trading, built an options desk to service institutional clients, and recently launched structured products. Now, we’re on the hunt for a new Sales OTC Trader who is curious and passionate about advancing the mainstream adoption of cryptocurrency and the technology behind it. That’s where you come in!

As the Sales OTC Trader, you’ll primarily work with our OTC spot team to interface with clients and handle the operational aspects of settlement. You’ll also gain exposure to the borrowing and lending desks, assisting with those operations as needed.

Reporting to the Head of Spot, this individual contributor role offers a fantastic opportunity for a driven and eager learner to shape the future of crypto from a leading position at a top-tier brand.

The opportunity

• Support and grow client relationships, acting as a key point of contact for OTC spot trading

• Drive trading flow by sourcing, quoting, and executing client trades

• Support the end-to-end trade lifecycle (pricing, execution, hedging, settlement, reconciliation)

• Identify and act on trading opportunities within defined risk parameters

• Support onboarding and activation of new counterparties

• Partner with internal teams (trading, operations, settlement, finance) to ensure seamless execution and client experience

• Assist across adjacent desks (borrowing/lending, derivatives) to broaden product exposure

• Stay close to market dynamics and educate clients on opportunities across crypto spot markets

Skills you should HODL

• 1–3 years of experience in OTC trading, electronic trading, or sales trading within financial services or crypto

• Strong understanding of spot markets, trade execution, and trading workflows (front-to-back)

• Proven ability to build and manage client relationships, ideally with institutional or HNW clients

• Commercial mindset with an interest in driving trading activity and revenue

• Strong interest in crypto markets and a desire to stay close to market trends and new products

• Collaborative, team-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment

• Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field

• This is a remote position based in the EMEA region. You must be willing to work EMEA hours and weekends as needed.
