Web3 Security Analyst

Bitcoin Depot is seeking a Security Analyst to assist in the identification and assessment of security risks. The Security Analyst will conduct scanning andmonitoring of cloud computer networks, systems, and applications for securityvulnerabilities, as well as anticipating and protecting against potential threats. They will also assist with governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) management and vendor management

Responsibilities:

• Monitor events and triage alerts across various security platforms
• Identify and resolve false positive findings reported by information security tools
• Monitor email and ticketing systems for security-related issues and follow through until resolution
• Execute information security activities such as vulnerability management, application development security, business continuity, risk management, etc.
• Perform incidence response and computer forensics activities
• Assess security controls and evaluate the security posture of organizational internal controls
• Evaluate third-party relationships for compliance with organization security standards

• Perform security and compliance assessments on new and existing systems, processes, technology with respect to regulatory standards
• Coordinate and participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning

• Research security trends, new methods, and techniques used in order to preemptively eliminate the possibility of a system breach
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• One or more years related experience preferred
• Strong proven knowledge of perimeter security like IDS and IPS
• Security solutions experience with Palo Alto, Cisco, Barracuda, Fortinet, Snort, Zeek, etc.
• Solid understanding of network engineering, verified by having obtained credentials such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher / equivalent
• Practical knowledge of information security standards and policies like NIST 800-53 or ISO 27001
• Good hands-on experience with AWS foundation services related to Compute, Network, Storage, Content delivery, Administration and Security, Deployment and Management, and Automation technologies.
• Knowledge and experience in information protection capabilities like security monitoring, threat intelligence, network protection, data protection, endpoint protection, technical security assessments, security architecture, penetration tools
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective working with global teams in a collaborative setting, placing priority on the successful completion of team goals
• Self-starter with a high degree of initiative and the ability to effectively prioritize multiple efforts
• Experience working in the financial services industry or experience working in cryptocurrency services
  
  

Preferred Certifications:

• CISSP Or Equivalent
• Vendor-specific certifications such as Palo Alto Technician, Fortinet Network Security Expert, Cisco CyberOps, Barracuda CloudGen, etc.
• AWS CertificationPractitioner or Higher
