Senior Analyst, BSA/AML Transaction Monitoring & Reporting

Standard Custody & Trust Company (“Standard Custody”) is looking for a Senior Analyst, Transaction Monitoring & Reporting, reporting to the Senior Manager, BSA/AML/OFAC Program & Licensing. This role will be focused on carrying out Standard Custody’s BSA/AML and OFAC sanctions day-to-day transaction monitoring, investigations, and reporting activities. This position is out of Standard Custody’s New York Office.

What You’ll Do

  • assist management with the development and implementation of Standard Custody’s Transaction Monitoring policies, procedures, and processes in compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act, and related regulations
  • perform timely review and analysis of system generated alerts for transaction monitoring, and sanctions screening related to digital assets
  • conduct ongoing monitoring and Enhanced Due Diligence (“EDD”) on customers deemed high-risk and escalate instances of inaccurate customer risk ranking to management if observed
  • identify and document suspicious activity trends, present findings to the compliance team and senior management as appropriate
  • conduct research utilizing internal and external database and document investigative findings
  • detects and escalates potentially suspicious activity based on Standard Custody’s BSA/AML and OFAC compliance policies, procedures and monitoring systems.
  • assist with timely drafting and filing of Suspicious Activity Reports (“SARs”) and maintain case files with all required documentation for BSA retention
  • maintain appropriate documentation to evidence the compliance of Standard Custody’s monitoring program in accordance with regulatory guidelines
  • assist in the development and implementation of Standard Custody’s Transaction Monitoring policy, procedures, and processes in compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act, and related regulations
  • assist in the development, coordination, and facilitation of training programs to educate bank personnel about BSA-related compliance requirements and procedures
  • remain current on BSA/AML regulations and requirements including examination criteria and Standard Custody’s policies and procedures
  • other duties as required or assigned

Essential Qualifications

  • 4-6 years professional experience in an anti-money laundering or anti-financial crime group
  • CAMS certification
  • 4-year undergraduate degree
  • Strong knowledge of AML, OFAC, and PATRIOT Act requirements and regulations
  • Strong knowledge of digital assets and previous experience with blockchain analytical tools preferred
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to execute tasks within tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills, the ability and willingness to get into details; must be solution oriented
