PROOF (proof.xyz) is an art-focused media and technology company primarily concentrated on the world of web3 (NFTs) and backed by leading technology VCs Andreessen Horowitz, True Ventures, and Alexis Ohanian’s 776.

Launched in early 2022 by founders Kevin Rose and Justin Mezzell, our product portfolio spans community-focused NFT collections (Proof Collective, Moonbirds); art collections with leading artists (including our anonymous Grails exhibitions); industry-leading media productions (PROOF podcast; NFT Daily Countdown videos); and advanced technology offerings to underpin not just our ecosystem but support the web3 space more broadly.

About the role

Product priorities at PROOF can be roughly divided into three categories: supporting art and artists; helping our communities and community members thrive; and furthering web3 technology for the benefit of all users.

Like many start-ups, our approach to product development combines big-tech rigor and a “get-it-done” MVP mentality. We’re looking for team members who are well-versed in Product Management as a discipline and how things should be done—but who are experienced enough to know which shortcuts can be taken when timelines are short, without compromising quality or impact.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Owning new products and features from inception to post-delivery, working with and coordinating efforts from community, art, design and engineering team counterparts
• Developing a clear understanding of our community members, their interests and needs—both short and long-term
• Creating in-depth and outcomes-focused product and feature requirement specifications
• Working with the development team to ensure continued alignment on output requirements
• Coordinating feature launches, from user testing to communicating changes with end users (in collaboration with marketing and community teams)
• Keeping abreast of industry trends, in order to inform our product and inspire future plans
• Defining and implementing methodologies for collecting quantitative data to measure product and feature uptake, usability, and achievement of stated goals
• Contributing to our product strategy and product roadmap, helping prioritize new products and determine build schedules

We are looking for an individual to join our product management team of three. You’ll report to our Director of Product Angharad (Harri) Thomas, working closely with fellow PMs as well as our product design and engineering teams.

This role is fully remote, but US-based (ET) is preferred to overlap with both our west coasters and our European smart-contract engineering team.

Who we’re looking for

The successful candidate will:

• Be passionate about web3 technology and digital art (professional experience in the space is nice but not necessary)
• Have a proven track record in product management, having taking successful digital products and features from initial concept through to launch
• Have exceptionally strong problem solving skills, with an ability to identify core issues and potential fixes (both through product enhancements and process changes) and a scientific approach to testing resolution hypotheses
• Be self-driven, hyper-organized and comfortable juggling multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment
• Possess a strong analytic toolkit, with experience analyzing both qualitative and quantitative data
• Have a bias to action and a willingness to chip in with whatever is needed

A strong technical leaning (i.e. prior experience as a software engineer or working as a Technical Product Manager in an engineering organization) is strongly preferred but not essential.
