GnosisDAO builds decentralized infrastructure for the Ethereum ecosystem. Gnosis developed a wide range of products, including Gnosis Safe (multisig and programmable account), Gnosis Protocol (CowSwap), Gnosis Auction, and Zodiac (standard and tooling for composable DAOs), Circles UBI (blockchain-based unconditional basic income) and Gnosis Chain. Gnosis Chain is the product of the merger of Gnosis and xDai. As one of Ethereum’s earliest sidechains with the largest validator aside from Ethereum itself, Gnosis Chain has quiet but significant real-world usage and has embarked on an aggressive technical roadmap to accelerate Ethereum. Gnosis Chain is also where Ethereum’s colorful and quirky spirit lives on, as the original home that incubated many defining projects like POAP, Burner Wallet, Dark Forest, and Perpetual Protocol.

About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Smart Contract Auditor to join our team. As an auditor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security, reliability, and integrity of our internal projects as well as providing auditing services to external portfolio companies. 

Smart Contract Auditing:

• Conduct comprehensive audits of smart contracts to identify vulnerabilities, security risks, and potential issues

• Evaluate code quality, correctness, and adherence to best practices

• Provide detailed reports and recommendations to improve contract security

• Provide feedback to smart contract design, gas efficiencies and mechanism design

Internal Project Support:

• Collaborate with internal development teams to ensure the security of our in-house smart contracts

• Develop and maintain checklists for smart contract development for our own developers

• Continuously monitor and assess the security of existing contracts, implementing necessary improvements

• Manage an auditing pipeline and schedules to manage expectations of teams

Research and Development:

• Stay up-to-date with emerging security threats and best practices in blockchain technology

• Contribute to the development of new auditing methodologies and tools

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of all audits and findings

• Proven experience in auditing smart contracts on the Ethereum blockchain or similar Layer 1 platforms

• Proficiency in blockchain based systems, Solidity, and other relevant programming languages

• Strong knowledge of blockchain security best practices and known vulnerabilities

• Familiarity with industry-standard auditing tools and practices

• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

• Detail-oriented with a strong analytical mindset

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
