Role summary

We’re looking for an experienced Social Media Manager to join our growing Marketing team. In this role, you’ll shape Brave’s social media and blog strategy, own the implementation of that strategy, and help Brave grow to 100 million users. (And then 150 million, and then…)

As the Social Media Manager, you’ll be responsible for:

• Crafting—and implementing—Brave’s social media & blog strategy
• Establishing social media & blog performance targets, and reporting that data to execs
• Coordinating directly with the Brave marketing, PR, and privacy teams to author, edit, or ghost-write simplified content for these channels
• Driving new-user downloads and product adoption among existing users, proving a direct attribution to your work, and optimizing for improvements

The ideal candidate should have a native understanding of multiple social media channels, writing & editing chops, and a deep passion for web privacy.

Requirements

• Excellent writing and editing skills; the ability to translate difficult technical concepts into actionable, engaging short-form content (wit welcomed!)
• Deep familiarity with multiple social media platforms, including (but not limited to): Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Reddit
• Measured judgment on when to respond / not respond to social media issues (aka avoid Twitter traps)
• Willingness to roll up sleeves and assist users who reach out via social, pointing them to all the right resources to resolve their issues
• Proven ability to drive user acquisition and growth via social channels
• Proven ability to coordinate content calendars in a fast-paced, hyper-growth environment
• Deep familiarity with performance analytics and reporting, and using these to drive strategy
• Comfort working closely with performance marketing & PR to drive impressions / engagement goals
• Bachelor’s Degree

Nice to haves

• Familiarity with the browser & search engine landscape
• Familiarity with cryptocurrencies, NFTs, crypto wallets, web3, and blockchain
• Experience coaching others (e.g. technical teams) to create simple end-user content and, as needed, ghost writing for them
