Developers and companies around the world build on it, and the SDF team is expanding to support the rapidly growing and changing Stellar ecosystem.

SDF is looking for a Social Media Manager who is motivated by storytelling, engaging diverse audiences, and creating and sharing compelling content. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of professional social media experience, enjoy leading creative processes with a team, and have a knack for surfacing insights from a range of content formats.

Impact: SDF’s social media is a primary engagement channel for the community and a general crypto audience. This role will help us establish a more robust and responsive social presence. It will also bring forward new and creative ways for social content to help elevate the success of organizational and ecosystem priorities.

Scope: Set and oversee social strategy in collaboration with marketing team, manage content production for SDF’s priority social channels, collaborate with internal and external teams to grow audiences and engagement for Stellar ecosystem initiatives, and monitor and report on metrics.

Growth: This role will initially work closely with the marketing team to set our social media strategy and develop content. Over time, and as familiarity with our organizational objectives and audiences grow, the individual will be entrusted to own social strategy and content production.

In this role, you will:

• Collaborate with marketing team to set and oversee social strategy
• Manage daily content production for SDF’s priority social channels (currently Twitter and LinkedIn)
• Work with SDF teams to plan and execute posts related to organizational priorities and announcements
• Collaborate with marketing and design team members on asset creation (images, video, etc.)
• Maintain relationships with ecosystem contacts and identify opportunities to amplify ecosystem company initiatives and content
• Pitch ideas for new content types and opportunities, experimenting to grow audiences and engagement
• Keep up-to-date with SDF’s organizational priorities and marketing efforts, bringing forward ways for social to elevate their success
• Collaborate with marketing team members to develop and support paid social marketing campaigns
• Monitor social platforms for trending topics and timely conversations
• Monitor and report on analytics and growth metrics for priority channels

You have:

• 2+ years of professional social media experience
• Experience leading creative processes
• Clean writing >
• A knack for surfacing insights from various, sometimes longform content formats
• Willingness to ask questions in order to identify new data points or simplify technical concepts for external audiences
• Strong sense of ownership and commitment to delivering quality work products
• Ability to collaborate and clearly communicate with internal and external stakeholders on goals, needs, and deadlines
• Ability to create timely, engaging copy and assets for social media
