Ren Labs is a global leader in multichain technology. We are the R&D studio behind RenVM, the billion dollar blockchain interoperability project which has bridged assets over $ 5.6 billion. Ren Labs is founded by the visionaries behind Ren and KeeperDAO, and backed by Alameda Research.

Ren Labs started as a group of strangers at the Australian National University in 2017. Now, we are a family of 20+ members, spread across 5+ countries and just getting started. Our vision is to build an ecosystem of dApps on top of the multichain to bring DeFi close to mainstream usability.

Our first product in that line, Catalog, has just raised $7.5 million at a $75 million valuation. Catalog is a decentralised cross-chain decentralized exchange (DEX) built for the multichain. Overview | The Role

We are looking for people who want to challenge the status quo, and leave their mark on the future of DeFi. As we are exploring new frontiers of blockchain technology through DApps like Catalog, we are at a place no one has ever been.

This goal presents compelling challenges due to the nature and nascency of blockchain technology. You might actually be one of the first individuals to take a crack at these challenges, which may require rearchitecting protocol stacks, that not only builds on previous technologies but rearranging or creating completely new protocols. As a smart contract developer, you will be responsible for developing and deploying smart contracts that implement the functionalities of our products. These products and your code within it have to process and guard millions of dollars of user funds. At Ren, you have the challenge/opportunity to show off your knowledge, critical thinking, and creativity to solve the new and interesting problems of blockchain along with upholding the industry-best security that we offer.

Key Outcomes

• Design of novel protocol mechanisms within various Ren Labs products.
• Contribute to dApp development for Ren Labs (encompassing token, economic, consensus, and governance mechanisms).

Functional Competencies

• 1+ years of experience in production-grade smart contract development using Solidity.
• Experience of using Hardhat development framework and openzepplin contracts.
• Strong knowledge using libraries like web3 and ethers.js.
• Knowledge or experience using Renjs is a bonus.
• Experience or Mastery in any of these fields — Game Theory, Mathematics, Cyber Security, FinTech, Distributed Systems, High-Performance and Real-Time Computing.
• Ability to read, digest and understand research papers and be able to implement them to write functional code.
• Write efficient and reusable code.
• Understanding of software documentation procedures.
• Knowledge of the English language, written and spoken.
