Sr. Software Development Engineer in Test
We are Mythical Games. A Venture-backed next-generation game technology company at the intersection of video games and economics led by industry veterans. Our goal is to lead the industry with the launch of exceptional video game experiences that leverage distributed ledger technology, while also providing a platform of robust tools that will allow any other game developers to do the same.
We are actively looking for a talented and driven Sr. SDET to join our growing Core team based in Los Angeles, CA. This role reports into our Lead SDET and will play an integral role in ensuring the quality of our core services platform while helping define and build the QA platform, focused on both backend and front-end services.
The ideal candidate will be self organizing and passionate about speeding up delivery time without sacrificing quality. They will be highly involved in setting the direction of our test automation and CICD. They will be highly collaborative but also have the ability to stay focused when in an isolated environment. Proactive communication and transparency is a must while we all are working remotely due to Covid-19.
Responsibilities:
- Envision, design and develop tools, frameworks and testing infrastructure to facilitate the testing by multiple teams, this includes analyzing requirements, assessing testability, identifying automation opportunities and implementing them for multiple projects.
- Lead the design and development of quality infrastructure that encourages the optimal combination of unit/component/integration and end to end tests.
- Provide oversight over test infrastructure to ensure release quality and production launch readiness.
- Work closely with engineering leads to determine automation needs and provide LOEs.
- Work with Engineers & Architects to develop best practices for software quality assurance across multiple software teams.
- Lead effort towards simplifying test tools and technologies in terms of efficiency, effectiveness stability, extensibility, and scalability.
- Design, build and implement automation foundations that allow Quality Engineers to contribute to test automation.
- Participate in all phases of product development, starting from requirements and design to validation and deployment.
- Collaborate closely with a team of engineers and product owners to influence design decisions.
- Develop quality metrics and use data to drive actions and decisions
- Conduct root cause analysis of issues and be able to provide solutions.
- Deep dive into code / logs to troubleshoot errors and look at the entire process holistically to identify areas for improvement
- Be involved in the code review process for both QA and development teams.

Requirements:
- 2+ years of enterprise software test automation lead experience
- Object oriented programming experience.
- Ability to understand the inner workings of the entire technology stack.
- Experience designing and building test frameworks for both front end and back end systems.
- Ability to identify testing and delivery gaps and provide solutions.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills to triage complex issues.
- Experience with various test design techniques.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions
- Experience being integrated in code review processes
- Desire and ability to give your direct reports the best opportunity to succeed and grow.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
Highly Preferred, if:
- You have Blockchain testing experience.
- You have experience testing network protocol using gRPC.
- You have Python coding experience.
- You have Cypress automation experience.
- You have experience working with Docker and Kubernetes
- You’ve worked with Google Cloud Platform infrastructure.
- You have experience with Security testing.
- You have a passion for gaming, marketplaces, and/or blockchain technology
