Web3 Strategy Analyst

You will be the first hire of BANXA’S 🚀 newly created Corporate Strategy team. The Corporate Strategy team provides thought leadership to the organisation and plays a key role in identifying, assessing and prioritising opportunities in new customer segments and geographies that will drive long-term growth for Banxa. This is where you come in, the Strategy Analyst plays a crucial part in how the team functions and involves both structured thinking towards solving a problem as well as a hands-on approach to get things done.

You will be working directly with the Head of Strategy, providing essential input for decision making on BANXA’S 🚀 strategic direction, including commercial evaluation and development of new business cases, products, and markets. In this role you will be given the opportunity to directly shape the future of, and grow with, a major listed company in the fastest-growing and most exciting industry globally.

What You'll Do 👀

Market Research & Analysis

• You will lead research, analysis, and narrative of industry trends across the broader digital asset ecosystem
• You will be responsible for synthesising data and research findings into compelling and strategic insights that will transform thinking and inform product strategy, decisions and roadmaps
• You will lead the creation of deep-dive decks and papers for highly strategic areas and present those findings to executive leadership
• You will have an analytical mindset and the ability to perform strategic analysis like SWOT, Scenario Planning

Customer Segmentation

• You will always be on the front foot when identifying potential new customer segments for Banxa, with the ability to map and segment different geographic and sector-based markets
• You will have the ability to develop hypotheses about the most attractive strategic opportunities that will drive growth for Banxa
• You will be responsible for assessing product-market fit for potential new customer segments, perform analysis to identify gaps, size the addressable market in the identified segments
• You will have a strong understanding of our customer needs and problems in the identified segments
• Develop and run a transparent prioritisation approach to identify the most attractive growth opportunities for Banxa, taking into account market size, growth potential, and risk
• You will build sound business cases for the prioritised opportunities and help shape investment prioritisation

Competitor Analysis

• You will regularly perform competitor assessments of direct and indirect competitors
• You will be a creative problem solver to gain competitor insights by leveraging both public and non-public sources
• You will continuously assess competitive intensity and our market position

Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement

• You will regularly report your findings to the Banxa Leadership team
• Partnering cross-functionally and collaboratively with the Data, Marketing, Sales, Product and Compliance teams

You should apply if ✅

• You have 2-3 years of experience in Management Consulting, Investment Banking or Private Equity
• You have a strong interest in the digital asset industry, especially in web3, NFT’s, DeFi
• You have previous experience or a strong understanding of the payments & fintech industry
• You know the in’s and out’s of all things Excel
• Good understanding of strategic management models
• You are a highly motivated self-starter with a strong understanding of business strategies and drivers
• You have impeccable written and verbal communication skills with experience in developing and presenting executive-ready, high-quality deliverables
• You are a natural critical thinker with strong analytical skills

What will put you on top of our shortlist 🏔

• Previous experience working in the digital asset industry and a strong knowledge of all things crypto
• Previous experience using SQL
