Web3 UI/UX Designer, Frontend

Compensation: $72k - $81k estimated

Location: Remote

We are looking for a UI/UX developer to lead development on the key frontend technologies enabling our platform to function smoothly, securely, sustainably and flexibly. As so-far grows into an art and cultural tastemaker in the diverse landscape of Web3, we want to ensure our UI/UX is responsive, aesthetically singular and absolutely seamless.

This role will be responsible for developing and coordinating the maintenance of our UI, reporting to the CTO. As one of so-far’s first engineering hires, this role will play a key part in setting the engineering culture at so-far for the time to come.

Part-time (flexible) to start in Feb ’22 and ramp up to full-time within 1 year.

The job: – Assist the CTO in designing the frontend of our stack

– You are responsible for ensuring coding standards are followed and maintained (including code reviews)

– Liaise with the backend developer(s) to ensure a complete package

– Keep track of issues and self-implement fixes

– Write idiomatic, well-tested and documented code

– Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use

– Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code

– Collaborate during team meetings to discuss UI/UX ideas and implementation

Requirements: – Solid foundation in production quality UI development with Svelte or one of the major SPA frameworks like ReactJS, Vue.js or AngularExperience in production quality UI development using at least one of the major CSS frameworks like Tailwind, Bootstrap, Bulma or Foundation

– Experience in translating design and wireframes into production quality code

– Understand the concept of server-side-rendering

– Experience with the TypeScript programming language

– Familiarity with Node.js and Git

– A keen eye for aesthetics and details of the UI

– Resourceful and independent in problem-solving

Bonus points: – Experience with the Jamstack and related tools

– Experience with UI testing tools, like Jest

– Familiarity with end-to-end testing libraries, like Cypress

– Hands-on experience in Figma templates

– Familiarity with SEO concepts and tools

– Demonstrated coding experience with Web3 development tools

– Interested in creative technology and innovative uses of blockchain
