Your mission:
The IT System Security Specialist will be responsible for managing and enhancing security systems and controls that protect the company's infrastructure, applications, and data. This hands-on role will collaborate cross-functionally to implement security best practices and technologies that reduce risk, enable compliance, and support incident response capabilities.
The IT System Security Specialist will be responsible for managing and enhancing security systems and controls that protect the company's infrastructure, applications, and data. This hands-on role will collaborate cross-functionally to implement security best practices and technologies that reduce risk, enable compliance, and support incident response capabilities.
What you'll do:
- Manage endpoint protection agents, maintain patching, investigate alerts
- Onboard applications into SSO solution, troubleshoot access issues
- Tune SIEM use cases, manage logs, identify threats, create reports
- Participate in on-call rotation, respond to security incidents
- Harden network configurations, monitor traffic, block known threats
- Develop and document security policies, controls, and procedures
- Perform security scanning, risk assessments, and audits
- Automate and optimize security tools and processes
- Educate employees on security best practices and awareness
- Continuously expand security knowledge through training and certifications
Who you are:
- 1-3 years of professional experience in an information security role required
- In-depth knowledge of endpoint security tools like antivirus, EDR, vulnerability management
- Experience with single sign-on solutions and identity management
- Working knowledge of SIEM platforms for threat detection and investigation
- Familiarity administering network security controls like firewalls, proxies, IDS/IPS
- Understanding of security frameworks like ISO 27001, NIST, PCI DSS
- Solid grasping of security incident response processes and digital forensics
- Background in hardening operating systems and fixing configuration weaknesses
- Self-driven problem solver with an intrinsic motivation for IT security
- Fluent in English verbal and written communication (German is a bonus)
