Executive Jobs at Liquid

We are looking for a Head of Information Security to join the Liquid Group in our Tokyo office. This senior level role is primarily tasked with ensuring that Liquid’s information, communication, and computer infrastructure remain secure at all times. The role will report directly to the CIO.

We are looking for a dynamic and driven individual that can design, own and run an effective information security strategy with hands-on experience in several core domains such as endpoint management, network/firewall security, securing Cloud infrastructure and threat analysis.

This role is ideal for someone with ambition looking to take the next step in their career and grow their responsibilities.

Must be in Japan, or have the right to work in Japan. Visa sponsorship is not currently available.

Areas of focus include, but not limited to:

• Help to shape the ideal target operating model for an effective security team.
• Review and update where applicable, our security policies, standards and procedures.
• Further strengthen our Security Operations Centre (SOC) capabilities to ensure timely detection, response and remediation of security events.
• Liquid employs a three lines of defence model; therefore this role will work closely with the CIO, Compliance and Risk functions.
• Help to integrate security best practices into our Development and DevOps teams’ processes. Ideally, help to define and establish secure programming principles, embedding a security mindset into our product development DNA.
• Data loss prevention is a key focus area for the Group. Knowledge of DLP tooling and practices to address the requirements of APPI and PDPA would be a huge advantage.
• Review and upgrade if appropriate, our Endpoint Device Management and security solutions.
• Vendor management for all of our security related solutions.

Required experience:

• An abundance of common sense and a will-do attitude.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

Technical skills:

• Experience is more important than education, your skills will be explored during the interview process.
• The following certification(s) or equivalent are desirable but not required: GSEC, SSCP, Security+, CEH, GCIH, GCIA, GCED, GSE, or CISSP.
• Knowledge of using a SIEM in the detection, response, mitigation, and/or reporting of cyber threats affecting networks.
• Knowledge of computer intrusion analysis and incident response best practices.
• Knowledge and understanding of Cloud security architecture, preferably AWS.
• A good understanding of current cyber threats and the associated tactics, techniques, and procedures used to infiltrate computer networks.

Nice to have:

• Understanding of ISO27000 series standards.

• English - business level (spoken and written)
