Paradigm is a San Francisco-based investment firm focused on crypto and blockchain-related technologies across the globe.  We make investments in companies and protocols at all stages, ranging from early-stage venture financing rounds to growth equity to liquid token assets.  Paradigm was co-founded in 2018 by Matt Huang (former Partner at Sequoia Capital) and Fred Ehrsam (Co-founder of Coinbase), and since then we’ve been hard at work building a world-class team to support our portfolio and the crypto ecosystem globally, with the broader goal of accelerating crypto’s ability to improve people’s lives worldwide.

At Paradigm, we believe that crypto will redefine money, finance, and the internet itself. This technological revolution will have a fundamental and long-lasting impact on the global economy.

As the premier VC firm in the crypto ecosystem, we’re at the center of a technological and media environment that’s changing extremely rapidly.  Given that, it’s critical that we make good decisions regarding the public perception of our firm and our investments.  The crypto-native community of entrepreneurs (and future entrepreneurs) will be the lifeblood of our long-term success, and we’re looking for someone to help shape those relationships.

We expect this person to have an extensive track record of creating content that connects with the crypto community worldwide, but perhaps more importantly, we’re looking for a creative thinker who can build a coherent narrative that our writing and public appearances will serve.  Ultimately, this person will define the way Paradigm is perceived within the crypto community across all platforms - writing, podcasts, Twitter, etc.

Responsibilities

• Working with our research and investment partners to write and edit content on cutting-edge technical and economic developments 
• Refining and publicizing an overarching narrative regarding Paradigm’s brand within the crypto community, and helping to quantify our success in promoting that narrative
• Building and nurturing relationships with key crypto influencers
• Managing partnerships with outside tools and platforms as appropriate
• Coaching and training Paradigm and portfolio execs regarding the value of specific communities
• Advising our portfolio companies on ad hoc communications and content challenges 

Qualifications:

• A track record of producing high-quality content that has gained significant visibility across the global crypto community
• A broad network of connections with other influencers
• A deep understanding of the startup lifecycle and culture, and a familiarity with the challenges associated with evolving a narrative to keep pace with that change
• Genuine curiosity about the wide-ranging implications of blockchain technology on the way governments and financial markets operate
