We are looking for an experienced, creative and enthusiastic Event Manager to organise and coordinate virtual, hybrid and in-person events that make an impact on our target audiences. If you have great communications skills, good time management and attention to detail, we want you on our team!

Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute virtual, hybrid and in-person events as per the goals and objectives
• Coordinate speaker engagements at blockchain and tech conferences
• Provide recommendations to enhance the success of an event
• Evaluate event sponsorship opportunities, manage sponsor relations and our participation end-to-end
• Ensure adherence to budget plans
• Source, negotiate with and manage suppliers
• Book venues, develop an event program, identify appropriate speakers and coordinate their participation
• Manage all event operations
• Recommend, develop, and implement effective marketing plans for driving registrations and / or selling tickets
• Collaborate with the graphic design, social media and content teams to create attractive pieces of Marketing collateral
• Evaluate event’s success and prepare detailed reports

Required skills:

• 3-5 years of experience as Event Manager, Event Coordinator, Event Planner or similar role
• Portfolio of successful events
• Experience in planning conferences and in managing multiple events at the same time
• Strong understanding of event planning strategies
• Proficient with event management KPIs and marketing techniques
• Experience in a fast-paced and growing tech startup environment
• Familiarity with multiple event technology platforms, streaming providers, and event management and ticketing services
• Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success
• Strong organization and analytical skill with a keen eye on details for accuracy
• Critical thinker and outstanding problem-solver
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks
• Strong time-management skills
• Great interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong negotiation and sales skills
• Team player and self starter who isn’t afraid to take initiative
• Fluent in English

You’ll need to

• Be able to travel internationally and support events outside of traditional office hours
• Be Berlin-based or willing to relocate to Berlin

Bonus:

• Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or related field
• Having experience with communicating and collaborating with distributed teams
• Familiarity with open source software and blockchain/crypto culture
