Responsibilities
- Build new features and products into our web apps using modern tools (Typescript, NestJS, TypeORM)
- Collaborate directly with product managers to build robust web applications
- Own engineering projects from design to implementation to deployment and maintenance
- Solve complex frontend/backend challenges around performance and code reusability while continuously improving code quality
Qualifications
- 3+ years professional experience building web applications backed with microservices approach. We are also open to candidates with less experience who are rising stars and are able to bring other valuable experience to our team.
- Able to define and implement coherent and scalable APIs (Rest, GRPC, GraphQL).
- Knowledge of microservices systems and event driven development.
- Excellent communication skills. You must be able to collaborate effectively with teams in a fully remote environment and discuss complex topics with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Able to work effectively under schedule pressure to fix bugs, review code, design, write, test new code, and diagnose production issues.
- Able to think and criticize existing implementations always with improvements in mind.
- Know and be able to implement most common design patterns
- Follow guidelines for code quality.
Nice To Have
- Experience working with Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS SQS, AWS EKS, AWS RDS, AWS MSK
- Holistic understanding of software systems - able to collaborate with backend to write design docs and design effective APIs
- Experience building accessible features
- Experience building web applications that work seamlessly and performant in mobile browsers
- Experience building complex animations and transitions to make delightful UIs
- Think outside the box solving the future problem while solving the current one
- Experience with blockchain and NFTs - ability to interact with blockchain smart contracts
