Responsibilities:

• Performing market research for potential investments in Web3, including research into blockchain technologies, protocols, DeFi applications, NFT projects, Metaverse, cryptocurrencies and more.
• Conducting analysis for potential investment opportunities by assessing competitive dynamics, tokenomics, customer metrics, founding team and other available data, and providing thorough summaries of the experience with feedback.
• Providing informed insights in various relevant aspects of the crypto industry related to technology, legal, regulatory, economic, and protocol background details.
• Preparing models for each prospective crypto investment opportunity.
• Collecting all relevant research and analysis required for compiling investment memos for new and existing opportunities. Contribute to creating all IM’s from initial memos all the way up to follow-on memos.
• Performing valuation modelling on each investment opportunity and carrying out sensitivity analysis to address risks and produce differentiated scenarios to test IRRs and investment hurdles.
• Tracking macro trends globally as it pertains to the web3 ecosystem and our portfolio companies and preparing research reports on crypto assets and protocols.
• Constantly building on BECO’s brand and internal knowledge base within web3.
• Working alongside the Investments Manager to source deals in the web3 space.
  
  

• High intellectual curiosity and a strong conviction and passion for all things relating to the web3 ecosystem including crypto, DeFi, DAOs, NFTs, metaverse and other market trends.
• A researcher at heart with an investment mindset, building expertise around web3 industry trends with heavy involvement in the community via Discord, Twitter, Reddit, other social media, events and additional channels to uncover innovative investment opportunities for BECO.
• Strong research, analytical, critical thinking and thought leadership skills and the ability to articulate opinions in an eloquent manner.
• A self-starter with strong drive, high ownership, an entrepreneurial spirit, and the ability to self-direct/manage their own time and productivity in a high tempo manner.
• Relationship intelligence skills with the ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders, from founders to investors and experts
