Through The Block's website + newsletter, The Block research, our podcast "The Scoop," hosted + 3rd party events and community participation, we interact daily with tens of thousands of technologists, financial market participants, Fortune 500 professionals, global service providers, policymakers and more. 

The Block delivers deep insight into how this emerging sector interacts with traditional finance, technology, governments, and markets. The Block’s foundation is simple: we are the first and final word in digital assets.

The Block is seeking a weekend editor to help spearhead our Saturday and Sunday coverage, publishing breaking news, features and paywalled exclusives. 

Title: Weekend Editor

Location: Remote (East Coast U.S./European Timezones Preferred)

Role Overview: The Weekend Editor will play a key role in expanding The Block’s news coverage to a seven-day per-week schedule.

The Weekend Editor will:

-- Identify, assign, produce and publish news stories on Saturday and Sunday during key business hours. 

-- Operate The Block’s social media channels to distribute weekend content.

-- The Block will coordinate with staff writers and editors on publishing content over the weekend, including paywalled features and exclusive stories.

-- The Weekend Editor will work with The Block’s senior news staff on identifying the types of stories to cover over the weekend, including breaking market and business news developments.

-- The Weekend Editor will coordinate with senior news staff on staff coverage, with extra resources assigned as needed to help cover busy weekend periods. This may include staff based in North America, Europe or Asia.
